Tirsdag d. 5 maj lukker forsalget. Den tidlige rabat på 25.000 kr. forsvinder, og TWT-11 går op til den fulde pris på 165.000 kr.

Stormen Dave rullede hen over Danmark i løbet af påsken og gav god mulighed for at teste KiteX TWT-11 i 18 m/s middelvind med vindstød på 27 m/s.

Kontrolsystemerne fungerede som designet og møllen leverede strøm igennem hele perioden. Selv med dens store 89 m² bestrøgne areal er det muligt at levere strøm fra 3,5 m/s til 18 m/s uden problemer!

What happens when the wind gusts peak at 27 m/s?
Storm Dave visited Denmark over Easter, and TWT-11 delivered as designed. At average wind speeds of 18 m/s gusting 27 m/s - the TWT-11 kept delivering power to the grid.

Handling 18 m/s with a swept area of 89 square meters is difficult, but the TWT-11 does that with a total weight of just 326 kg!

The advanced aerodynamic and control platform kept all loads in check ensuring both safety and longevity of the system.

Small wind turbines have been around for decades. And honestly? They've mostly been a disappointment

Too heavy. Too expensive. Too little energy for the money.
Our CTO Andreas just wrote a white paper explaining what went wrong - and why everything is about to change.

Conventional small turbines weigh 3,000+ kg. They need cranes and concrete foundations just to get spinning.

The TWT-11? 326 kg. Complete system. Foundation included.

That's 13× more energy per kilogram. Not a tweak - a completely different starting point.

What’s happening?

• Shorter days = less solar production
• Higher energy use (heating, lighting, etc.)
• More reliance on expensive grid electricity

The interesting part:

Wind behaves differently.

• More wind during winter months
• Production when energy is most needed
• Works day and night — not just when the sun is out

What we’re seeing in practice:

• Up to ~1 MWh produced in 21 days during winter conditions
• Starts producing from low wind speeds (~3.5 m/s)
• Designed to deliver stable output — not just peak power

What this means:

Solar and wind are not competitors — they complement each other.

☀️ Solar → strong in summer
🌬️ Wind → strong in winter

Together, they can cover a much larger part of your yearly energy needs.

We’re building the TWT-11 to make small-scale wind a realistic option for homes and farms — especially where energy independence matters most.

Most small wind turbines are marketed by kW power rating.
But what really matters is how much electricity they actually produce (kWh).

That’s why we’ve just launched a new version of the KiteX website with interactive tools that make it easier to understand what a small wind turbine can really generate.

Our new kWh production estimator lets you explore:

🌬 How wind conditions influence production

One key principle in wind power is simple: energy capture scales with swept area.
The KiteX TWT-11 sweeps about 89 m² of air, which is significantly larger than most turbines in the same power class. This allows it to produce meaningful energy even in moderate wind conditions - especially during winter when energy demand is highest.

The simulator currently provides general estimates for Denmark and Germany. If you'd like a site-specific production estimate, you can submit your location through our contact form and we’ll run a more detailed analysis.

We’ll also begin sharing more insights about small wind turbine physics, engineering, and real-world performance.

De fleste små vindmøller bliver markedsført ud fra max kW effekt. Men det, der virkelig betyder noget, er hvor meget elektricitet de faktisk producerer - kWh.

Derfor har vi lanceret en ny version af KiteX-hjemmesiden med interaktive værktøjer, der gør det lettere at forstå, hvad en lille vindmølle reelt kan producere.

I vindenergi gælder en simpel regel: energi skalerer med rotorens bestrøgede area.

Big news from our KiteX test site: a single high-efficiency turbine has officially generated over 1000 kWh of clean energy in just 21 days

What does 1000 kWh actually look like for your daily life? It is enough clean power to:
• Drive an electric car for over 5000 km
• Run a household heat pump for 2 to 3 months of winter heating
• Cover the total electricity needs of an average home for a quarter of the year

How did the TWT-11 achieve this under normal operating conditions? It is all about working smarter with the wind.

Instead of relying on extreme weather, we designed the TWT-11 to be highly productive in everyday conditions. By combining a large swept area with active pitch control of the blades and an advanced smart control system, the turbine continuously optimizes itself in real time.

This ensures we capture meaningful, consistent energy output across a broad range of wind speeds, starting from a gentle breeze of just 3.5 m/s.

This real-world data proves exactly what we set out to show: smart, decentralized wind power can provide serious reliability for off-grid and rural setups.

Hvad betyder 1000 kWh i praksis for en almindelig husstand? Det er nok grøn strøm til at:

• Holde din varmepumpe kørende i 2 til 3 af de koldeste vintermåneder

Hvordan opnåede TWT-11 dette? Det hele handler om at udnytte vinden klogere.

I stedet for at vente på stormvejr, har vi designet TWT-11 til at levere høj ydelse under helt almindelige danske vejrforhold. Ved at kombinere et stort bestrøget areal med aktiv pitch-regulering af vingerne og et intelligent styresystem, optimerer møllen hele tiden sig selv.

Det betyder, at vi fanger en stabil mængde energi ved mange forskellige vindhastigheder, og produktionen starter allerede ved en let brise på kun 3.5 m/s.
Vi beviser lige nu sort på hvidt, at decentral vindkraft kan gøre en kæmpe forskel for almindelige husstande og off-grid entusiaster, der ønsker at producere deres egen strøm.

Last Saturday the 13th we had the pleasure of showcasing the KiteX Aero TWT-11 to around 40 customers and potential customers. The KiteX team was on-site to demo the system, walk through the design choices, and answer questions throughout the day.

Conditions were fair for the season grey and overcast, ~5 m/s wind, plus a light drizzle. Let’s just say the weather did a very convincing “Northern Europe in winter” impression. 🙂

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by: the questions were excellent and genuinely appreciated, they help sharpen both the product and our rollout plans. We’re looking forward to starting to serve the first 90 pre-orders once the duration test concludes later in 2026, with the ambition of beginning turbine installations in 2027.

We’ll be sharing more updates soon, especially as we move into the next test phases and with the patents now granted.
