Resharing this insightful article by Paul Matthew, Director for Africa at the Global Cold Chain Alliance, of which we’re a proud member.

"With 60% of the world's uncultivated arable land and diverse climates, Africa can produce a wide range of crops to meet local and international demands. However, post-harvest losses can reach up to 40% for certain crops. A robust cold chain can significantly reduce spoilage by maintaining optimal storage conditions."

As part of the Global Cold Chain Alliance, CT-TECHNOLOGIES is committed to strengthening Africa’s cold chain infrastructure. With extensive experience engineering climate-controlled facilities across the African market, we focus on building scalable, sustainable, and energy-efficient solutions that ensure optimal storage conditions. Through knowledge sharing and fostering collaborations, we work to reduce post-harvest losses, ensuring that even remote regions gain access to modern cold chain infrastructure.

As global food demand rises with population growth, Africa's vast agricultural potential positions it as a potential "food basket of the world." However, realising this potential requires addressing challenges in logistics and supply chain management.
