Once again, a lot of the solar systems we monitor on island are on "alarm" . Alarm is "No voltage phase 1" . This is the alarm we get when there is NO Domlec on the system. Luckily, none of these solar systems are affected , and the users have full power in their house or at their business .

But can you imagine if all these systems had to be tied to the grid under the unreasonnable "sell all - buy all" project ?

See on the pictures how many times did these alarms happen in the past days !

Bringing serenity to your solar project.

We’re officially here!

You might already know us for the blue boxes behind off grid builds, boat upgrades, remote cabins, RV systems, and power projects around the world.

Now we get to share more of that work here, while powering the U.S. and Canada.

We’ve a lot coming your way, from training and trade shows to marine systems, off grid projects, system setups, the people behind the work, and some of the best builds across the continent.

Follow us to stay in the loop.

Great and obvious move . Congrats Canada .

🔋 Canada is deploying grid-scale batteries in its remote northern communities — replacing diesel generators with clean solar and storage systems.

Canada's northern and remote communities face a unique energy challenge. Hundreds of First Nations reserves, remote villages, and isolated townships across the Canadian North — in Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon, northern Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia — rely entirely on diesel generators for electricity. Diesel fuel must be flown or barged in at extraordinary cost — sometimes exceeding $2 per liter in the most remote locations. The fuel is expensive, polluting, and logistically vulnerable.

Solar-plus-battery microgrids are transforming these communities. Summer solar generation in northern Canada is surprisingly productive — the long Arctic summer days provide hours of generation even at high latitude. Paired with battery storage sized to bridge cloudy periods and the early shoulder seasons, solar-battery systems can displace 50-90% of diesel consumption in suitable communities.

The Remote Communities Clean Power Initiative — jointly funded by Natural Resources Canada, provincial governments, and the First Nations Clean Energy Working Group — has deployed solar-battery microgrids in over 40 remote communities since 2018. The Deline First Nation in the Northwest Territories, the Kasabonika Lake First Nation in northern Ontario, and the Tasiujaq community in Nunavik are among the communities that have dramatically reduced their diesel dependence.

The benefits extend beyond cost savings. Local air quality improves — diesel generators in small communities create significant air pollution. Energy security improves — fuel supply disruptions no longer mean loss of electricity. And community wealth increases — money previously spent on imported fuel circulates locally instead.
