🔧 Aveva / Wonderware System Platform Tip of the Week!!!
💡 Why use derived templates and instances in your SCADA architecture?
Templates are the backbone of a scalable and maintainable SCADA system — and this simple diagram shows exactly how:

📌 Base Template ($UserDefined):
This is your starting point — a blank, customizable object from which all others can evolve.

📌 Derived Templates ($Valve → $Inlet / $Outlet):
These are reusable blueprints. You define behaviors, graphics, alarms, and I/O mappings once — and reuse them across the system. For example, if you define a valve template, you can easily create variations like $Inlet and $Outlet without rewriting logic.

📌 Instances (CV101, CV102…):
These are the actual running objects in the Galaxy. If you ever need to update logic, graphics, or alarms, you update the template once — and all instances reflect the change.
✅ No repetitive work.
✅ Easy maintenance.
✅ High reliability.

🔄 Real-world result? Faster deployment, consistent standards, and lower engineering costs.

🔧 Tip de la semana en Aveva / Wonderware System Platform !!!

💡 ¿Por qué usar plantillas derivadas e instancias en tu arquitectura SCADA?
Las plantillas son la base de un sistema SCADA escalable y fácil de mantener — y este diagrama lo muestra claramente:

📌 Plantilla Base ($UserDefined):
Es el punto de partida — un objeto en blanco y personalizado desde el cual puedes construir todos los demás.

📌 Plantillas Derivadas ($Valve → $Inlet / $Outlet):
Son modelos reutilizables. Definas una sola vez el comportamiento, gráficos, alarmas y mapeo de I/O — y los reutilizas en todo el sistema. Por ejemplo, puedes crear una plantilla de válvula y luego derivar $Inlet y $Outlet sin reescribir la lógica.

📌 Instancias (CV101, CV102…):
Son los objetos que realmente se ejecutan en la Galaxy. Si necesitas actualizar la lógica, gráficos o alarmas, solo editas la plantilla una vez — y todas las instancias se actualizan automáticamente. Ventajas:
✅ Menos trabajo repetitivo
✅ Fácil mantenimiento
✅ Mayor confiabilidad

🔄 ¿Resultado real? Implementación más rápida, estandarización y reducción de costos de ingeniería.
