The Internal Revenue Service (SRI) faced an important institutional challenge: the significant growth of its staff in strategic areas created the need for larger, more modern, and efficient workspaces.
To address this, the institution managed the lease of the Santa Prisca Building, located on Juan León Mera N4-34 Street (between Vicente Ramón Roca and General Robles). The property consists of a basement, ground floor, and seven office levels, providing the necessary capacity to relocate teams from the Regional North Directorate – Audit Department and the National Directorate of Technological Development (DNDT).
The challenge was considerable: the building was completely empty — newly constructed and without internal divisions. From the ground up, a comprehensive architectural design was developed to ensure functionality, optimal distribution, and comfort, aligned with SRI’s institutional standards.
More than a physical adaptation, it became an exercise in planning, design, and technical coordination, aimed at creating a workspace that fosters efficiency, collaboration, and well-being for every employee.
💭 To what extent do you think the design of a workspace can influence productivity and the well-being of the people who inhabit it?
