A multi-profile concern with a well-developed modern structure and active participation in the Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Finland, Norway and Russian markets grew out from a single-business company specialising in ship repairs before the early 90s. Being actively involved in many different business spheres helps to reduce commercial risks inherent to a free market economy. The structure was cr
eated at the end of the 90s based on the idea to make a more efficient and customer-oriented company. In turn this aim was caused by the necessity to compete successfully with other companies in the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. As of today the dynamic and through changes have succeeded. Our export portfolio is filling with commissions from Scandinavian and West European countries. Clients and parnters of these countries are known to be highly pretentious. Thus we may be proud of our work meeting the high demands of our customers. New export markets are opening every year. For example barges for the fish farming industry of our make can be seen even in South America not to mention Europe. For the first time Quality System had been certified by organization Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance under international standard ISO 9001 in 1999. Following dynamics of development of BLRT Grupp, the System every year extends to all new spheres of activity. Having stepped over borders of Estonia, it has been distributed on the enterprises of concern in Lithuania and Latvia. In 2005 on the basis of results of integrated audit Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance has approved the Enviromental Management System of BLRT Grupp as meeting the ISO 14001:2004 requirements, and once again updated the certificate on conformity of Quality System to standard ISO 9001:2000. Work on integration and constant perfection of Systems, as means of business efficiency increase is a continiuos process in concern, which aim is not only to meet modern requirements of the market and the legislation, but also to be ready for the future challenges.
