This time, the activity was go-karting. An evening full of speed, excitement, friendly competition and plenty of laughter.

Automation, speed and flexibility. VILMA AB is taking the next step in strengthening its production capabilities.

The Lithuanian manufacturer has invested in two advanced TRUMPF machines:

🔹TruMatic 7000 – high-performance punching and laser processing combined in one machine

🔹TruBend 5170 – high-performance press brake for flexible and productive bending

Together, the technologies will help VILMA increase production capacity, improve efficiency and respond more flexibly to customer needs.

Part goes out of tolerance?

If a part goes out of tolerance, the problem may not be in the program or the tooling. The cause could be the CNC machine’s own positional or motion accuracy.

In many international manufacturing companies, regular machine accuracy checks are a standard part of the quality system. Especially in demanding supply chains, customers may require proof that production equipment has been checked and its condition is known.
The goal is to prevent machine deviations from affecting the final product.

A Renishaw Ballbar test can check a CNC machine’s motion accuracy in approximately 30 minutes and identify issues including:
• geometry
• backlash
• servo behaviour
• positioning errors

It is a quick way to understand the machine’s actual condition before an issue leads to scrap, customer complaints, or production downtime.
