80% of CMZ's machine components are made in-house — including the spindles.
The spindle features an integrated motor and liquid cooling, making the machine more compact while still delivering high performance and precision.

🔹 For components not manufactured in-house, CMZ relies on premium European and Japanese suppliers.
🔹 Sliding surfaces are ground in a single setup — the maximum tolerance is 4µm, though the production target is around 2µm.
🔹 The mating surface of the guideway pair is still finished using hand scraping, ensuring the most precise contact surface and the best sliding properties.
🔹 One-piece stainless steel chip covers reduce the number of joints, minimizing the risk of chips reaching the machine's internal components.
🔹 Live tooling reaches up to 12,000 rpm and roughly 11–12 kW of power, enabling the machine to handle even the most demanding machining tasks.
🔹 The X, Y, and Z axes are driven by higher-class Fanuc Alpha motors. Other components are also slightly overdesigned to ensure machine stability and a long service life.
🔹 Every part of the machine that generates heat is actively cooled. This reduces thermal variation and the need for tool compensation — especially important in production environments where one operator runs multiple machines at once.
🔹 All CMZ machines are assembled in a temperature-controlled environment, helping ensure greater accuracy and long-term stability.
These are the kinds of solutions that don't always show up on a technical spec sheet, but their impact is felt in production every single day.
CMZ doesn't focus on technical figures alone. Equally important are the design choices that aren't obvious at first glance, but which show up in part quality, machine reliability, and the operator's day-to-day work.
