Last week was an exceptionally busy one for the Hepta Insights team, with our people contributing to important energy and technology discussions across different regions. 🌏
In Lisbon, Hepta took part in The Business Booster 2025 by EIT InnoEnergy, a flagship event bringing together innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers to accelerate the clean energy transition.
Our Chief Growth Officer, Elviss Straupenieks, joined a panel exploring how Europe’s climate and security challenges are increasingly interconnected, creating new opportunities for clean tech innovators. The discussion focused on practical pathways for engagement in the defense and security markets, from financing and market access to dual-use regulations and commercialization.
👇 As Elviss shared after the event:
“It was great to see how many companies are now tackling supply chain resilience, from rare earth processing and battery materials to next-generation energy infrastructure. There’s a clear shift toward rebuilding Europe’s industrial base around technologies that directly support a sustainable and resilient energy transition.”
It was a pleasure to share the stage with Alexander Goos, Francois Koppenol, Francisco Prata, Johan Söderbom, Rita Sousa, Johan Karlsson, Patrik Möller, Manuel Trigueiros Rafael Ferreira de Lemos, and Rob Anstey — all bringing unique perspectives on how clean energy innovation connects with resilience and security. A special thank you to Alexander Goos and Julia Juras, CFA, for the kind invitation to join this insightful discussion.
The conversations at TBB once again highlighted how energy security, innovation, and sustainability are becoming inseparable, and how data-driven insights can help navigate this evolving landscape.
A big thank you to InnoEnergy and everyone we met in Lisbon for an inspiring and forward-looking event.
