A great two days of learning and collaboration in Cramlington, UK!

We had the opportunity to take part in Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Channel Partner Training, focusing on bioproduction workflows and single-use solutions.

During the training, we gained valuable hands-on insights, explored the Customer Evaluation Centre (CEC), toured the Single-Use Technology manufacturing area and exchanged experiences with industry experts and distributor partners from different regions.

A big thank you to the Thermo Fisher Scientific team for the warm welcome, excellent organisation and valuable knowledge shared throughout the training!

👉 Fun fact! Before becoming home to modern manufacturing and technology, Cramlington was actually a coal mining town.

At Lanmer, there are two things we always strive to do: keep learning and stay inspired.

That said, our colleagues Vjacheslav and Tarmo recently attended Äripäev’s Sales Management 2026 conference in Tallinn. And here are a few takeaways from the day:

💡 AI brings opportunities AND responsibility. New tools can make sales smarter, but privacy, transparency and consent should always come first.

💡 The basics still matter. Good processes, consistency and taking action are what turn ideas into real results.

💡 Think big, even if you're small. Tallinn Airport's example showed how knowing your strengths and consistently finding ways to stand out can make a real difference.

A little throwback to when the sun was shining at the Tech Exchange event at Icosagen last month!

It was a great opportunity to bring people together, exchange ideas, and connect with industry professionals.

The autumn equinox had only just passed when we got together last week, which did make us wonder: can we still call them Summer Days?

We decided we could.

Because even if the calendar had already moved into autumn, the spirit was still very much about spending time together, stepping away from the everyday routine and enjoying a proper team get-together.

So here’s a little throwback to our slightly-after-summer Summer Days on a very rainy Thursday.

After nearly a decade, the Baltic Human Identification (HID) User Meeting returned this September.

Forensic and police DNA laboratory professionals from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania gathered in Riga to reconnect, exchange experience and strengthen cooperation across the Baltic region.

It was also a pleasure to meet and exchange ideas with representatives from Thermo Fisher Scientific — Philipp Habermeier, Katarina Haraldasson, Emmanuel Louis and Dr. Andrea Fischer — as well as Maile Kohtla, Lisann Adamson and Marit Merigan from the Estonian Forensic Science Institute.

A special thank you to everyone who helped bring this tradition back, especially Tatjana Griba from BioAvots SIA and Marius Gaigalas from UAB Linea Libera for their contribution to organising the meeting.

We are glad to see the Baltic HID community coming together again and look forward to seeing where this renewed cooperation leads.

September 20 was quite a special day.

Apparently, it’s National Fried Rice Day, National Punch Day, National Queso Day and even National String Cheese Day.

But at Lanmer Distro, we had two much better reasons to celebrate: it’s the birthday of two great humans – Tarmo and Slava!

Happy birthday, guys! Wishing you plenty of good times, great adventures and success in the year ahead.

May your next trip around the sun be at least half as awesome as the two of you!

Our short summer break from travelling is officially over, and we’re back to our usual schedule, where we never quite know what the week will bring or where it will take us.

Last week, it took us to Ljubljana, Slovenia, where Lanmer Distro joined Singer Instruments at FoodMicro 2026.

Margus and Kent spent the conference together with Edward Latto and Tony Ross-Booker from Singer Instruments, meeting researchers and introducing Singer’s laboratory automation solutions.

For Margus, one of the highlights was seeing the genuine interest in Singer’s laboratory automation equipment and how open people were to conversation. The conference led to many great discussions and promising new connections that we hope will grow into future collaborations. And, of course, Ljubljana made a pretty great setting for it all.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions and took the time to meet us.

What does it mean to be human? 🧐

This was the central theme of the Estonian Society for Laboratory Medicine’s Summer School in Valgeranna.

The programme brought together very different topics from cardiovascular risk assessment and biological markers of Alzheimer’s disease to precision in laboratory medicine and sustainable management. Different perspectives, but one thing connected them all: people remain at the centre.

One of the first day’s key themes was middle age. It's a stage of life that can feel challenging, but also deeply rewarding. The discussions touched on women’s and men’s health, healthy life years, and what helps us maintain our wellbeing and quality of life for as long as possible.

And among all the science, data and discussion, one message stood out for its simplicity:

💡 Sleep. Move. Love.

Sometimes the most valuable advice is also the easiest to remember.

What do Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek and Annika Soots from Lanmer CRO have in common?

🎂 Besides all being super talented, they were all born on the same day.

This Wednesday was Annika’s birthday, making her the first of three September birthdays at Lanmer this month.
