As a developing country, Egypt’s main economic crisis hub appears in energy production. Beginning from the problem of hike in fuel prices and ending by the people lack of awareness about energy well use. Not to mention the time it takes to increase energy productivity to meet the load increase by use of traditional sources and the environmental pollution it leaves, besides the difficulty of supply
ing isolated areas. Y-MAST group idea is simply to support the easier maintenance, most efficient and cleanest renewable energy production source (solar energy) based on Egypt’s perfect solar map and the idea also extends to make a good kernel for the productivity of Egypt’s own parts needed in solar energy production. Y-MAST group will provide a 130 watt PV system model (as maximum rating) ready to be used and developed. The system is a high efficient low cost source that is ready to supply DC and AC loads providing also a low cost easier maintenance sun tracking system. The system will be ready with testing loads and the tracking system in finals. It is a national profitable project that targets the electricity new generation era to be more common in Egypt exploiting the perfect solar energy and the rare use of renewable energy in Egypt. The project sufficiently has so many attractions that satisfy a sponsor needs beginning with the hike of traditional fuel price that will be simply replaced by the free solar source, Egypt’s need to provide new cities for the population increase to be out of the overcrowding areas that will be easily supplied by solar energy than traditional ways, the world trend for using renewable energy and the fear of global warming that is enhanced by the burning of normal fuels used for electricity generation and ending by that the project tends to make all parts used to be made in Egypt. The system replaces the existing traditional way of electricity generation providing a high speed installation clean way of electricity generation using the solar radiation. It will also replace the high expensive impure diesel generators. The project will simply converts the solar radiation into electricity by a high flexible efficient way. The project can be also benefit to customers if Egypt’s government begins to encourage the electricity generation companies to deal with people to connect their solar systems to grid, not to mention that after some years the systems repay its initial cost.
