قصه حلم يصافح الأهرامات : ميلاد "العملاق" - The Grand Egyptian Museum
تبدأ قصتنا في تسعينيات القرن الماضي، عندما وُلد حلم عظيم في قلب مصر: أنشأ صرح ثقافي يضاهي عظمة الأهرامات التي يطل عليها. لم يكن مجرد مبنى، بل كان طموحًا لجمع شتات آلاف السنين من التاريخ في مكان واحد.
في عام 2002، تحقق هذا الحلم بوضع حجر الأساس للمشروع. اختاروا له موقعًا استثنائيًا، ليكون شاهدًا على الأهرامات الخالدة.
وتحت رعاية اليونسكو، أطلقت مصر مسابقة دولية للتصميم. كان الفوز من نصيب شركة هينغهان بنغ الأيرلندية بتصميم خيالي: فالكتلة المخروطية للمتحف نفسه تمثل نقطة التقاء أشعة الشمس الممتدة من قمم الأهرامات الثلاثة! إنه احتضان معماري بين الماضي والمستقبل.
جيش من المرمِّمين وكنوز الملك الذهبي
في مايو 2005 بدأ العمل. لكن قبل أن تُبنى القاعات، كان لابد من تجهيز الجنود! ففي عام 2006، أُنشئ أكبر مركز لترميم الآثار في الشرق الأوسط. هذا المركز، الذي افتُتح عام 2010، هو خط الدفاع الأول عن الآثار، حيث يعمل به الخبراء على ترميم وحفظ وصيانة كل قطعة أثرية قبل ظهورها على المسرح العالمي.
المهمة الأبرز والأكثر إثارة كانت تجهيز كنوز الملك الذهبي توت عنخ آمون. تخيل أن الكنوز التي أُخرجت من مقبرته في نوفمبر 1922 ستُعرض للمرة الأولى كاملة في مكان واحد! إلى جانبها، استعد المتحف لعرض مجموعة الملكة حتب حرس (أم الملك خوفو باني الهرم الأكبر)، ومركبي الملك خوفو الأثريين، وملايين القطع الأخرى التي تروي تاريخ مصر من عصور ما قبل الأسرات وحتى العصر الروماني.
الصرح المكتمل... ومجلس الأمناء الرئاسي
في عام 2021، اكتمل تشييد المبنى الضخم الذي تجاوزت مساحته 300 ألف متر مربع. لم يعد المتحف مجرد مبنى، بل أصبح هيئة عامة اقتصادية تنظمها القوانين، ويُشرف عليها مجلس أمناء يترأسه فخامة السيد رئيس الجمهورية لضمان سير الرؤية الكبرى.
المتحف ليس مجرد عرض للآثار؛ إنه مدينة متكاملة. يضم بين جنباته متحف للأطفال، ومركزًا تعليميًا، وقاعات مؤتمرات وسينما، وحدائق ومطاعم. وفي إبريل 2021، تم التعاقد مع تحالف حسن علام لإدارة وتشغيل خدمات الزوار بأعلى المعايير العالمية.
دعوة إلى البهو العظيم
يختص هذا العملاق باستخدام أحدث تقنيات العرض المتحفي، وبالتوثيق الرقمي للكنوز، وإحياء الحرف التراثية المصرية.
وحاليًا... المتحف يفتح أبوابه لـ "فصل تمهيدي" مشوق. الزائرون مدعوون لجولات إرشادية محدودة، لكنها مبهرة. يمكنك التجول في منطقة الخدمات والحدائق، واستكشاف المسلة المعلقة الفريدة، ثم الدخول إلى البهو العظيم المهيب. هناك، تقف وجهًا لوجه مع تمثال رمسيس الثاني الشامخ وعمود النصر للملك مرنبتاح.
لكن الإثارة الأكبر ما زالت بانتظار الافتتاح الكبير! قاعات العرض الرئيسية وقاعات توت عنخ آمون والدرج العظيم تظل مغلقة تمامًا، لتكون مفاجأة مدوية عندما يفتح أكبر متحف في العالم يروي قصة حضارة واحدة، فصوله كاملة للعالم أجمع. إنه ليس متحفًا، بل رحلة عبر الزمن! 🚀

The Irish firm Heneghan Peng, with a mind-blowing concept: the museum's own conical shape represents the meeting point of sunbeams stretching from the very peaks of the three Pyramids! It's a stunning architectural embrace between the past and the future!

An Army of Restorers & the Golden King's Treasures!
In May 2005, the work began. But before the halls could be built, the soldiers had to be ready! In 2006, the largest conservation center in the entire Middle East was established. This center, which opened its doors in 2010, is the first line of defense for our history, where experts work tirelessly to restore, preserve, and maintain every single artifact before it makes its grand debut on the world stage.
The most thrilling mission of all was preparing the treasures of the Golden King, Tutankhamun! Just imagine: the treasures unearthed from his tomb back in November 1922 will be displayed in their entirety in one place for the very first time! Alongside them, the museum is gearing up to showcase the collection of Queen Hetepheres (mother of King Khufu, the builder of the Great Pyramid!), King Khufu's two ancient solar boats, and millions of other pieces that tell Egypt's story from pre-dynastic times all the way to the Roman era!
The Colossus Completed... and a Presidential Board of Trustees!
In 2021, the construction of the enormous building—spanning over 300,000 square meters—was finished! The museum is no longer just a building; it's a powerful public economic authority, overseen by a Board of Trustees chaired by His Excellency the President of the Republic himself, ensuring this grand vision is perfectly executed!
This isn't just a museum; it's a complete city! It holds within it a children's museum, an educational center, conference halls, a cinema, and sprawling gardens and restaurants. And in April 2021, a contract was signed with the Hassan Allam consortium to manage all visitor services to the absolute highest international standards!
A Call to the Grand Hall!
This giant is all about using the absolute latest in museum display technology, digitally documenting its treasures, and breathing new life into traditional Egyptian crafts.
And right now... the museum is opening its doors for a thrilling "Introductory Phase!" Visitors are invited on limited, but absolutely dazzling, guided tours. You can wander through the service areas and gardens, marvel at the unique Hanging Obelisk, and then step into the awe-inspiring Grand Hall. There, you'll stand face-to-face with the towering, majestic statue of Ramses II and the Victory Stele of King Merneptah!
But the biggest thrill is still waiting for the Grand Opening! The main exhibition halls, the Tutankhamun halls, and the Grand Staircase remain completely sealed, saved for the thunderous surprise when the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization finally opens all its chapters to the entire globe.
