هل تعلم ان مميزات توليد الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية هي :
1- آمنة ومضمونة وموثوقة ولا تحتاج إلى صيانة.
2- إنارة المناطق المعزولة عن الشبكة، المنازل السكنية والشوارع والطرق.
3- ضخ المياه لرى المحاصيل الزراعية.
4- من خلال استخدام الألواح الشمسية يمكننا توليد الكهرباء من مصدرنا الخاص، وبالتالي سيتيح لنا التخلي عن شبكة الكهرباء العامة، وبعبارة أخرى، لن نكون محتاجين لشركات الكهرباء في توفير الطاقة الكهربائية، كما لن نكون مضطرين لدفع فواتير الكهرباء.
5- الحصول على الطاقة الشمسية لن يتطلب لاحقا الكثير من أعمال الصيانة، حيث سيتم تركيب الألواح أو الاحواض الشمسية مرة واحدة، وبعدها ستعمل بأقصى كفاءة ممكنة، ويبقى لدينا القليل فقط لنفعله للمحافظة على انتظام عملها.
6- الطاقة الشمسية منتج صامت للطاقة، لا تتسبب ألواح الخلايا الشمسية بأية ضوضاء عندما تقوم بتحويل ضوء الشمس إلى طاقة كهربائية قابلة للاستخدام.
7- محطات توليد الطاقة الشمسية والألواح الشمسية في المنازل لا تسبب أي انبعاثات ولا تسبب أى أثر ضار على البيئة.

The immense 1.5 million fadan project will surely need a lot of water for the agricultural objectives of the project. Solar power can be very helpful in that department because solar power is less expensive than ‘normal’ electricity and therefore less costly to the project. Solar power will be used to supply water tanks with electricity and irrigation systems to water the agricultural fields that are in place. ICM solar is currently working in Wadi el Natron in installing solar panels that will supply the area with electricity and the irrigation systems.

The 1.5 million fadan project is an initiative that is overseen by the president Abdelfattah El Sisi himself. The project’s aim is to develop one and a half million acres of land across Egypt for multiple investment purposes. First and foremost the project is set to help raise agricultural land by 20%. Due to the increase of agricultural land, the increase in demand for water and energy is inevitable. Solar power is a key factor in the project because solar power is a cheap and reliable alternative to other sources of energy. The aim of this project is to make these areas sustainable by 2030. The areas that are concerned with the first phase of this initiative are : AlFarafra , West of Komombo, AlMaghara, Al Amal Village, Toshka and its Wells, AlMarashed and West AlMenaya

Europe and solar power. According to the EU’s official website, solar power is estimated to supply 20% of electricity to the whole EU by 2040. The EU is putting immense effort in supplying energy with better sources. They are funding research that will try and find other materials that can be put in solar panels, to lower the cost of cultivating solar power. they are also using something called Concentrated solar power plants. Mirrors are used to heat water and the steam from that evaporates drives steam turbines that generate electricity. The problem with CPS is the fact that it is costly and therefore cannot be used to compete with other mechanisms. The EU are also looking to install solar heating and cooling in buildings that way buildings can rely on renewable energy for their heating but that is still a goal that has many variants to it.
The EU has an expanding market when it comes to solar energy, the fact that production costs went down by 75% played a very important role in how accessible solar power can be.

We often talk about solar power or solar energy when we talk about renewable sources of energy but what is solar power ? How do we get electricity from the sun ? What’s the mechanism that companies like ICM solar use to produce electricity that can be used in multiple scenarios ?
To simplify it, solar power is absorbing the sun’s light and transforming it into electricity. It might sound easy but there are a lot of steps in order to go from absorbing the sun’s light to providing electricity. Solar panels are constituted with silicone buds that absorb the light emitting from the sun and convert it to electricity using a process called the photovoltaic effect
(But that is something for another time). The electricity that has now been created is then transferred to an inverter to stabilize the electricity because electricity can be very powerful and can harm our appliances without it being stabilized. The inverter then feeds this new stabilized electricity to your home.
Did you know that the Egyptian government actually encourages solar power ? Which is why if you decide to install solar panels to provide electricity to your house it won’t be hard for you. Not to mention the money you will save later on. Egypt is also blessed with radiant sun all year round so you will rarely have a power outage !

Solar power is one of the most important sources of renewable energy today. In a world where we are trying as much as we can to save our planet from the deadly carbon emission that it has had to endure, we look for better alternatives that are not wasteful and are renewable because today fossil fuels are slowly but surely running out. Solar power is not a new invention or discovery. Solar power has been used for centuries and believe it or not it was first used here in Egypt ! Yes our ancestors used solar power. But they used it very differently than how we use it today. Solar power is simply put using the sun’s warmth and transforming it with modern technologies into electricity, but in ancient Egypt they used the sun’s warmth for different purposes, they would build their homes in a way so that during the day the building would absorb the heat from the sun and release it at night to keep their houses warm. Ancient Egyptians would also build black tiled swimming pools so that during the day the tiles would absorb the sun’s warmth and that during the night the water in these swimming pools would be used in the heating pipes of palaces and houses. Here at ICM solar we use solar power for supplying our homes and businesses with electricity which means that we, like our ancestors, use solar power to warm our homes and supply hot water.
