This part of the journey was about students thinking out loud, listening to each other, testing early ideas, and learning how to shape them with more clarity and purpose. It would not have been possible without the support of our partner, Youth Employability and Empowerment.

What makes this moment special is not only the result, but the growth behind it. From shaping ideas from scratch to building, presenting, and competing, these students showed real commitment, creativity, and courage.

Through our journey with Aspire International School, our goal was always bigger than the competition itself , to give students real experience, skills, and confidence that will stay with them far beyond this stage.

Proud to share that the team achieved 4th place out of more than 40 teams in their track, and has now qualified for the finals in Jakarta, Indonesia to represent Egypt among global teams. 🇪🇬

A special thank you to all the teachers and mentors who supported the students from day one until now.

Also grateful to Codeavour Egypt Shagoof - شغوف the Egypt organizing team for this opportunity and platform.

What happens when school students are given the space to solve real challenges, not just talk about them?

STEAM Pathways AlphaVate Hackathon is a first of its kind initiative in the Middle East for school students, developed in collaboration with the Texas A&M Meloy Program Invent for the Planet

🚀 The first physical day marked a major milestone in the journey and we are only halfway there.

After two online sessions, all teams came together in person for the first time to deepen their ideas through a focused workshop and a first sprint presentation round

They worked on shaping their posters by defining
the problem
who it affects
who they want to help
and their first solution direction

By the end of the day, teams stepped into a mock pitching round, sharing their early ideas and receiving valuable feedback.

It was a day full of energy, teamwork, creativity, and real learning with students moving from early thoughts to clearer, stronger, and more purposeful solutions.
And this is still only the middle of the journey.
Next: validation, deeper development, and stronger solutions on the road to the finals.

🚀 More than just a day — this was a starting point.

Yesterday at the Aristo Hackathon, Egypt’s first school hackathon of its kind, students did more than share ideas.
They explored, built, tested, collaborated, and transformed their thinking into real solutions.

What made the day truly special was not only the innovation, but the energy in the room,
the teamwork, the confidence, and the sense of community being built in every moment.

It was fun.
It was inspiring.
And it was filled with deep, meaningful learning.

This would not have been possible without our incredible students, dedicated mentors, and valued partners Oakland College Egypt consulting international who believed in this journey.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than an event.
Together, we are building a stronger culture of innovation, creativity, and future-ready learning across Egypt and the Middle East.

And this is only the beginning.
We look forward to the finals this May at University of Technology ✨
