Strengthening International Cooperation to Empower Egyptian Engineers
As part of ongoing efforts to support the engineering community, the Head of the Engineers Syndicate, Dr. Eng. Mohamed Abdel Ghany, received a delegation representing the ASHRAE Cairo Chapter Board of Governors and the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) to discuss new opportunities for cooperation focused on developing engineers’ capabilities and enhancing their readiness for both local and international markets.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdel Ghany emphasized that advancing engineers’ technical and professional standards remains a strategic priority, with special focus on key sectors such as HVAC, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
He also highlighted the importance of providing internationally recognized training pathways, specialized development programs, and professional certifications that enable Egyptian engineers to compete regionally and globally.
The discussions explored potential partnerships between the Syndicate and ASHRAE Cairo Chapter that would help bridge the gap between academic education and labor market demands, while creating broader career opportunities for engineers.
For its part, ASHRAE Cairo Chapter reviewed its longstanding contribution since 1995 in supporting the profession through technical seminars, student activities, career fairs, training programs, and internationally recognized certifications serving engineers across all career levels.
Both sides agreed on the importance of expanding cooperation in the coming period through joint initiatives, advanced technical courses, and international certifications that contribute to preparing a highly qualified generation of Egyptian engineers.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of the Board of Governors and the GAC Committee to strengthen institutional cooperation and support the future of the engineering profession in Egypt.
