Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated fit-out Procurement Engineer to join our team.
As a fit-out Procurement Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of construction and fit-out materials, equipment, and services. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, architects, suppliers, and contractors, to streamline procurement processes and support successful project ex*****on.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors for construction and fit-out materials, equipment, and services. Assess supplier capabilities, pricing, and reliability to determine the best procurement strategies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality materials and services within defined budgets and timelines. Collaborate with architects and civil engineers to review project specifications, assess material requirements, and identify alternative solutions if needed. Prepare and evaluate procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage procurement schedules, tracking orders, deliveries, and resolving any discrepancies or delays. Conduct cost analysis and negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimal value for the company. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during the procurement process. Collaborate with project managers to anticipate material and equipment needs, providing proactive procurement support. Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil or architecture Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience working in construction procurement or a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services. Familiarity with architectural and civil engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Proficient in procurement software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
