CanSat is categorized as a Pico-scale sat, which provides an affordable way to acquire students with basic knowledge of developing a satellite by implementing the basic mission modules performed by the ordinary satellites. The students are able to experience many challenges in designing their own satellite, building and testing a small electronic chip with communication system that can fit into a
small Soda-Can. The CanSat is launched by a rocket or a balloon, then descends to Earth by a parachute while performing its mission and transmitting telemetry to the ground station PC. The teams are then able to acquire data through this mission and analyse them, and the performance is evaluated. CanSat is relatively low cost, easily developed and launched and acquire good know-how to students. curriculum
