قام مشروع "رفع كفاءة المحركات الكهربائية في العمليات الصناعية" يوم الأربعاء الموافق 30 أغسطس 2023 بعقد إجتماع مع وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة لمناقشة البرنامج المقترح لترويج للسخانات الشمسية في مصر، بالإضافة إلى إطار تأهيل شركات خدمات الطاقة (ESCOs) وخبراء القياس والتحقق. وقد ترأس الإجتماع د/أحمد مهينه رئيس قطاع التخطيط الاستراتيجي ومتابعة الاداء والتعاون الدولي و د/جيهان بيومي مدير برامج بمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية "اليونيدو".خلال الاجتماع قام فريق عمل اليونيدو بعرض ما تم إنجازه من خلال مشروعات الطاقة المختلفة كما قامت شركة كيمونكس مصر، استشارى المشروع بعرض ملامح البرنامج الوطنى المقترح للتوسع فى استخدام السخانات الشمسية في مصر، بالإضافة إلى عرض الإطار المقترح لتأهيل شركات خدمات الطاقة (ESCOs) وخبراء القياس والتحقق.
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the “Egyptian Program for Promoting Industrial Motors Efficiency” held a meeting with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to discuss the pro-posed program to promote the deployment of solar heaters in Egypt, in addition to the framework for qualifying energy service companies (ESCOs) and measurement and verification experts. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmed Mahina, Head of the Strategic Planning, Performance Follow-up and International Cooperation Sector, and Dr. Gihan Bayoumi, Program Officer at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). During the meeting, the UNIDO team presented the achievements of various energy projects. The proposed national program to expand the use of solar heaters in Egypt, in addition to the proposed framework for qualifying energy service companies (ESCOs) and measurement and verification (M&V) experts were presented by UNIDO consultancy firm, Chemonics Egypt.
