In a new step towards maximizing its capabilities, Mariout (MEC) has the pleasure to announce that the giant steel fabricator FerroMetalCo (FMC) successfully acquired 64% of Mariout shares.
This great step will have a great impact on increasing our footprint through being more capable to satisfy our projects needs as it will maximize MEC & FMC capabilities in an integrative ways of cooperation.

In continuation of our strategic cooperation with the American based company Zeeco Inc. Mariout gladly announcing the completion of the steel fabrication works for Basrah Gas Company (BGC) project, Iraq.

Mariout scope of work was supply and fabrication of Knock-Out Drum, Flare Stack Risers, Platforms, Ladders, Gratings, Utility Piping and Conduits.

Mariout scope of works was completed on time, following Zeeco, Wood Group and BGC specifications and quality requirements.

Mariout have the honor to announce its participation in the construction of the tallest tower in Africa in cooperation with our strategic client China State Construction Engineering Corp. LTD. (CSCEC)
Mariout’s Supplied, Fabricated and delivered around 350 tons of steel works (Steel Stirrup, Special Shear Studs, Steel beams for action system …) for the foundations of the Iconic tower which is considered to be the biggest project in the Central Business District (CBD) at the Egyptian new capital project.
The tower is one of 20 towers and skyscrapers being constructed by CSCEC as part of the CBD project, whose 3-billion-dollar contract was signed in October 2017 between CSCEC and the Egyptian government.
The Iconic Tower is planned to be 385.8 meters high, with 80 floors including two ground ones, while the total area of the whole building after completion will be about 262,000 square meters.
A mass concrete pouring took place for 72-hour-long non-stop process for pouring 18,500 cubic meters of concrete to get a five-meter-thick concrete base for the giant tower.
