Elsewedy Industrial Development has signed the first industrial developer agreement with Egypt's Golden Triangle Economic Zone Authority to develop an integrated industrial and logistics zone spanning 6 million sqm in Safaga.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Mohamed AlKammah, CEO of Elsewedy Industrial Development and Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of the Golden Triangle Economic Zone Authority, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Elsewedy, President & CEO of Elsewedy Electric, Eng. Mohamed Abady, Chairman of the Golden Triangle Economic Zone Authority, Dr. Walid El Barqy, Governor of the Red Sea, members of the Authority's Board of Directors, the Elsewedy Industrial Development team, and representatives of TAQA Arabia.

As the Authority's first industrial developer agreement, the project marks a major milestone in advancing private sector participation in the development and operation of industrial zones in Upper Egypt.

The integrated industrial and logistics zone will focus on mining-related complementary industries, mineral-based manufacturing, logistics, storage, and export-support services.

The project will also include an Elsewedy Technical Academy branch to train skilled talent in line with the needs of the targeted industries, supporting Egypt's Vision 2030.

On the sidelines of the presidential summit between H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and H.E. President Samia Suluhu Hassan in Dar es Salaam, as part of the Egyptian-Tanzanian Business and Investment Forum.

Elsewedy Industrial Development marked a major milestone in advancing Egyptian industrial investment across Africa as 7 Egyptian investors signed Memoranda of Understanding to secure industrial land plots at Elsewedy Industrial City in Tanzania for the establishment of new manufacturing facilities in the pharmaceutical, engineering, and food industries.

The agreements were exchanged by Eng. Ahmed Elsewedy, President & CEO of Elsewedy Electric, and Eng. Mohamed AlKammah, CEO of Elsewedy Industrial Development, in the presence of H.E. Lt. Gen. Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transportation and Maritime Transportation, H.E. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, and H.E. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment

The milestone reinforces Elsewedy Industrial Development’s role in exporting Egypt’s successful industrial development model to Africa.
