We are seeking an experienced Dewatering Operator and team leader to join the team. To be considered for the role you must have a strong focus on safety, a can do attitude and be motivated.
Job Description:
The Dewatering team leader is responsible for supervising and instructing the Dewatering crew ,maintaining the dewatering system in an effort to ensure water levels remain below current mining levels ,maintain water storage levels and access for seasonal dust suppression needs ,perform all aspects of the position in a, safe, cost-effective.
About the role:
-Ensuring safe & efficient work practices are carried out
-Installation and removal of dewatering pumps and infrastructure
-Daily operational check of sump and bore dewatering pumps
-Repair and maintenance of all sump & bore dewatering lines, valves & equipment
-Monitoring and data collection
-Attend required meetings
Duties:
-The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Day to day monitoring of mine site dewatering requirements
-Organising the movement of pipe work
-Diagnosing and maintaining the diesel pumps, pipelines and pit bores
-Installation of ground support
- Pipewelding
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in hydrology or mechanical engineering is preferred.
