Ninth Visit to TEDA: Six Key Projects Shine Together
Prime Minister Madbouly Inaugurates Major Projects in TEDA Cooperation Zone
On April 23, Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by a high-level delegation, paid his ninth visit to the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Zone), where he inaugurated six major new projects.
The visit was attended by Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), Wei Jianqing, General Manager of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., and Cao Hui, Executive Director of the TEDA Zone.

Six Strategic Projects Covering Integrated Industrial Value Chains
The Prime Minister inaugurated the following projects:
• Xinlinfei Solar Energy Project (Phase I)
• Hong Kong Dingchangsheng Textile Project
• Borix Glass Manufacturing Project
• Green Recycle Plastic Recycling Project
• Shengyuan Steel Structure Project
• Go Steel Pipe Manufacturing Project
These projects address key demands in the Egyptian market, offering strong job creation potential and export capabilities. Together, they form a comprehensive industrial ecosystem—from renewable energy and advanced manufacturing to circular economy and strategic materials.

Project Highlights:
• Xinlinfei Solar Project:
With a total investment of $200 million, it is one of the largest renewable energy industrial projects in the SCZone. It is expected to create over 1,800 jobs and generate annual exports of up to $300 million.
• Dingchangsheng Textile Project:
With an investment of $6 million, the project supports Egypt’s strategy to expand the textile sector, increase value-added production, and boost exports.
• Borix Glass Project:
Reflects Egypt’s strategic direction to deepen local manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports.
• Green Recycle Project:
With a $5 million investment and an annual capacity of 8,000 tons, it supports Egypt’s transition toward a green and circular economy.
• Shengyuan Steel Structure Project:
With a $3 million investment and annual production capacity of 15,000 tons, it contributes to infrastructure development and construction localization.
• Go Steel Pipe Project:
Currently valued at $45 million, with plans to expand to $75 million, and an annual capacity of 72,000 tons—covering around 60% of local market demand.

The Chairman of SCZone described these projects as a “qualitative leap” in renewable energy, engineering, and metal industries, emphasizing the importance of industrial integration, advanced infrastructure, and efficient project ex*****on.

A Strong and Ongoing Commitment
Since 2016, Prime Minister Madbouly has consistently visited the TEDA Zone, highlighting it as a model for industrial development in Egypt and a key driver for attracting high-quality investments, advancing industrialization, and promoting green economy initiatives.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting renewable energy, circular economy sectors, and localization of supply chains through incentives and policies.

Triple Impact: Economic, Social, and Environmental
The six projects represent a total investment of nearly $360 million and are expected to create over 2,000 direct jobs, marking a significant step forward in Egypt’s industrial development journey.
This milestone further strengthens TEDA Zone’s position as a core engine for economic growth and a successful model of international cooperation aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative and Egypt Vision 2030.
