🔐⚙️ Grateful to have been part of the 4th IOCRCI Workshop in Lugano
We would like to thank the organizers of the 4th IOCRCI Workshop on The Impact of IT/OT Convergence on the Resilience of Critical Infrastructures for inviting our colleague Jacobo Rodríguez Souto to participate as keynote speaker.
Held in Lugano, Switzerland, on 24 May 2026, as part of the IFIP Networking Conference 2026, the workshop brought together researchers, industry experts, and public-sector representatives to discuss one of today’s most relevant challenges: how IT/OT convergence is reshaping the resilience of critical infrastructures.
Jacobo opened the session with the keynote “Industrial Cybersecurity: From Labs to Critical Infrastructure”, addressing the need to move industrial cybersecurity from test environments to real operational scenarios, where cyber threats may directly affect essential services and physical processes.
The discussions throughout the workshop highlighted the importance of secure-by-design approaches, anomaly detection, incident response, cyber resilience, and the development of technologies to protect increasingly interconnected industrial environments.
Thanks to Professor Robert Kooij for inviting us, Thanks to Professor José Luis Rolleand Professor Manuel Rubiños from UDC for joining us.
It was a pleasure to contribute to such a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences around the future of resilient critical infrastructures.
