Plot without electricity.
The client bought a modular house, the place is good, but there is no electricity. Waiting to connect to the network is months, sometimes years, and money for connections that no one likes to count out loud., expensive in general.
We put in an off-grid solar plant. 5 kW panels on the roof, Growatt storage for 15 kWh in a ventilated box on the street. We put a 10 kW inverter in reserve. If the client wants to expand the system, add panels or batteries, the inverter is ready, we will not have to change anything.
Now there is light in the house, everything that is needed works, and there is no meter from the electricity company at all.
15 kWh of storage is a night plus a cloudy day without any limits on consumption.

This particular installation will generate slightly less, as the panels are tilted slightly.
However, the system looks extremely neat and doesn't spoil the home's appearance. Sometimes, aesthetics are just as important to the client as an extra few percent of output.

Few people realize this, but having solar panels on your roof doesn’t guarantee electricity in your home.
It’s not a flaw or a scam. It’s just physics.
A grid-tied system without a battery automatically shuts down when the grid goes down. No grid, no production.
Do you remember April 28 last year? When half of Europe went dark in about 10 seconds. That’s when many people discovered this the hard way. And some of them even had batteries… but still no power. Because they didn’t have a Backup Box.
A Backup Box is the unit that switches your system into off-grid mode in a fraction of a second. Without it, the battery just sits there doing nothing.
In the photo, it’s marked as number 2. It may look modest, even bigger than the inverter, but it’s the piece that makes all the difference.
Before, people used to save money on it. After that blackout, these units disappeared from the market for two months. Completely sold out.
Now we install it for everyone. Together with the battery. No exceptions.

A solar carport. Why it makes sense and how much it costs.

It all started with a simple question from a client. The roof wasn’t suitable for panels. Too small, partly shaded. But there was a two-car parking space in front of the house. Open, sunny all day. That’s where the idea came from.

We build a metal structure designed specifically for the panels. Not panels adapted to a structure, but a structure designed for the panels. That’s an important difference. Size, tilt, height, everything is calculated for the exact location and number of panels. We can paint it any color to match the house or the owner’s taste.

Cars stay in the shade, panels work in the sun. Everyone wins.

But it’s not just about parking. The same structure can be installed over a terrace, a solarium, a chill-out area. It becomes a pergola with solar panels. Sunlight is working above, shade and comfort below.

Now the numbers.

A 5 kW system with a turnkey carport costs €6,422. Out of that, €4,422 is the solar system itself and €2,000 is the structure. Installation takes about two days.

In Alicante, a 5 kW system produces around 9000–9500 kWh per year. An average home consumes about 4500–5000 kWh. Savings from direct consumption are around €700–800 per year. Plus compensation for excess energy adds another €280–315. So in total, about €1000–1100 per year. And if you consume more during the day, the payback becomes even faster.

If you have an electric car, we install a charging station right away. You charge your car with your own solar energy instead of buying electricity from the grid. In this case, the payback feels almost immediate.
