Automation readiness is not only about adding external systems. In the IBARMIA Z SERIES, it also starts with how tools are managed during production.

The Automatic Tool Changer can be configured with 50, 100 or 150 tools. Tools can be loaded and unloaded during machining time, while the next tool is prepared in advance. At the same time, tool changes are performed outside the working area.

The IBARMIA Z SERIES can integrate rotary table solutions that add advanced turning capabilities to the moving-column platform.

The machine can be configured for vertical turning, horizontal turning, or a combination of both within the same working area. This makes it possible to perform external and internal turning operations, while also maintaining full milling and 5-axis machining capability.

Bringing these processes together in one machine reduces setups and part transfers, helping maintain accuracy between operations and increasing process flexibility.

In this IBARMIA ZMS4_40.06 EXTREME, the moving table retains the versatility of a fixed-table working area while allowing the fixtures to be repositioned quickly according to the process requirements.

The column moves the table together with its fixture and manages its real position within the working area. Long-distance laser sensors verify that the table has reached the expected location before the fixture closes around the workpiece.

The IBARMIA STAR EDITION combines a 3-metre working area, a high-load fixed table and an integrated C-axis rotary table in one production-focused configuration.

Together with its continuously tilting B-axis head (±120º), this setup supports both long workpieces and complex 5-axis machining.

For greater productivity, the optional dividing wall can split the machine into two independent working areas for pendulum operation.
