The completion of the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme marked a significant milestone in the evolution of aviation infrastructure in the North of England, and ADELTE is proud to have contributed to this landmark project.

As part of the redevelopment, ADELTE designed, manufactured and installed 22 Passenger Boarding Bridges for the new Terminal 2 (Pier 1 and Pier 2), helping create a safer, more efficient and more comfortable passenger experience for millions of travellers.

To commemorate the transformation, Manchester Airport has unveiled Atmospheric Reflections of the North, a striking public art installation in Terminal 2 by local artist Liam Hopkins (Lazerian). The suspended installation features hundreds of parachute-inspired sculptures, each recognising the organisations and individuals who contributed to bringing this ambitious project to life.

We are honoured that ADELTE has been recognised with one of these dedicated parachutes, a lasting symbol of our contribution to the transformation of Manchester Airport and of the strong partnership between ADELTE and Manchester Airports Group throughout the project.

ADELTE is proud to announce that our latest HYDRA Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridge (SPBB) with a sophisticated double boarding cabin has successfully entered service at the Flynn Cruiseport Cruise Terminal.

The bridge was fully assembled at the Port de Barcelona before being carefully transported across the Atlantic, unloaded and installed in Boston during June. Just five days ago, it welcomed its first cruise passengers, marking another successful milestone for both our team and our client, the Massachusetts Port Authority.

The HYDRA SPBB has been engineered to provide safe, efficient and weather-protected passenger boarding while offering the operational flexibility required by today's modern cruise terminals. Its double boarding cabin helps accelerate the boarding and disembarkation process, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the overall passenger experience.

This successful delivery was made possible by the seamless collaboration between our Global Technical Services (GTS) specialists in Spain and the United States, who worked together throughout the assembly, transportation, installation and commissioning phases.

This is the second HYDRA SPBB that ADELTE has delivered to the Flynn Cruiseport Boston Cruise Terminal, reinforcing our long-term commitment to supporting the port with innovative and reliable passenger boarding solutions.

We thank the Massachusetts Port Authority and all project partners for their trust and cooperation, and congratulate everyone involved in bringing another ADELTE engineering solution successfully into service.

The project enhances the passenger experience by providing safe, comfortable, and weather-protected embarkation and disembarkation for the hundreds of thousands of cruise passengers who begin and end their Alaska cruise journeys in each year.

The installation was completed in time for the start of the 2026 cruise season in April. This season is expected to be the busiest in the history of the Port of Seattle, with approximately 330 cruise vessel calls scheduled. The port has also achieved shore power capability at all its cruise berths, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable cruise operations and environmental stewardship.

This project marks ADELTE's second cruise terminal boarding bridge installation in Seattle. Several years ago, we successfully supplied and installed a KRONUS SPBB together with enclosed elevated walkways at the Bell Street Cruise Terminal on Pier 66.

We thank the Port of Seattle and all project stakeholders for their trust and collaboration and wish them a successful 2026 cruise season.

ADELTE’s Global Technical Services team has successfully completed the comprehensive refurbishment and modernization of two SEDNA Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridges (SPBBs) at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal and City Cruise Terminal in the Port of Southampton, originally installed by ADELTE in 2003 and 2007 respectively.

The project included the installation of new state-of-the-art docking cabins, replacement of one tunnel on City Cruise’s SPBB, new lifting mechanisms and bogies, and a complete renewal of the electrical installation, including sensors, cabling, and control components. Selected finishes such as glazing and flooring were also replaced to further enhance the systems.

This extensive modernization project not only extends the operational lifespan of the SPBBs, but also significantly enhances safety, operational flexibility, reliability, and passenger comfort for both terminal operators and cruise passengers.

We are proud to announce that ADELTE has been awarded by the Société de Gestion du Port de Tanger Ville (SGPTV) the contract for the design, manufacture, and installation of a new passenger boarding system for the cruise terminal at the iconic Port of Tanger Ville.

Located in the heart of Tangier’s bay and directly connected to the historic Medina, the port offers one of the Mediterranean’s most unique cruise arrival experiences. The new system will be based on ADELTE’s ARGOS model: a self-propelled telescopic ship-to-shore gangway operating on rails and equipped with advanced sensor technology and electromechanical actuators to enhance passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and the overall guest experience at the terminal.

With this latest award, ADELTE strengthens its long-standing presence in , reaching a total of 15 passenger boarding systems delivered since 2002 across the Ports of Tanger , Tanger , and .
