QSTAR es un Centro de Entrenamiento Internacional de Pilotos de ROV miembro del IMCA (International Marine Contractor Association) formando parte en la División de ROV y Sistemas Controlados a Distancia establecido en Europa y África. almente. En 2014 , QSTAR (representada por su Director General, el Sr. José Mª Sepúlveda) fue elegido como miembro del IMCA ROV TSG ( Grupo de Formación de ROV). El TSG esta formado por directivos de empresas líderes miembros de IMCA como Fugro, Bibby, i-Tech 7, Saipem, MTCS, The Underwater Center, School of Ocean and Technology, SMD, SAAB Seaeye, Schilling QSTAR y FORUM. Durante estos años e comité ha estado trabajando en la elaboración de nuevos documentos y directrices que facilitará un enfoque más global para el desarrollo de la formación de ROV.
