Posted • There’s a fire in people who dedicate their lives to food. It’s an unwavering, unapologetic, and unavoidable magnet and it often draws us together in the process.
I first met Terry Higgins many years ago now, former Rockpool and Qantas Consulting General Manager turned providore. , her beautiful store in Elizabeth Bay, opened to satisfy evolving palates and home cooks who’ve become more aware of food provenance and sustainability.
Terry has attracted a dedicated and loyal community whose insistence on things like a coffee machine, have encouraged the store to become more of a meeting place. She has watched the local babies grow from tiny to toddlers and when she puts a call out for things like souvenir spoons (for her summer affogato) they deliver. Some of them even bake for her!
Terry, thank you for allowing me to help shape your vision of Juno & Sons. This summer is going to be a blast. If you care about Christmas, go and see Terry. She has your table/tableware/snacks/gifts sorted.
