📢 This October, we are hosting two exclusive sessions in Gothenburg during EUROSPINE

Each one has been designed for a different audience within the international spine ecosystem.

📅 October 6 | 18:00
International Distributor Meeting

A business-focused gathering for spine medical technology companies interested in expanding their portfolios, entering new markets and exploring international distribution opportunities.

📅 October 7 | 17:00
Clinical Innovation Session

A dedicated experience for spine surgeons, combining expert perspectives, insights into personalized surgical planning and an interactive session with hands-on training models.

Both sessions will offer opportunities to exchange perspectives, build valuable connections and continue the conversation over dinner.

Join us in Gothenburg to explore two complementary perspectives on the future of personalized spine surgery.

‼️ Attendance is free and prior registration is required

🩻 Two patients can share the same diagnosis and still require a different surgical strategy.

Bone shape, vertebral dimensions, alignment, tissue condition and the characteristics of the pathology can vary significantly from one patient to another. What appears to be a familiar case at first glance may reveal important anatomical differences when examined in three dimensions.

Personalized surgical planning helps make those differences visible before the procedure and supports a strategy built around the patient’s actual anatomy — not an average anatomical model.

Because in complex surgery, personalization begins with understanding what makes each anatomy unique.

🧠 Last month, we met with our partners at IDONIAL in Gijón for a technical follow-up meeting of SPINEAI, the public-private collaborative R&D project led by us together with PRIM, IDONIAL, FINBA and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

The objective of SPINEAI is to develop an intelligent platform for the treatment and follow-up of idiopathic scoliosis, bringing together medical imaging, artificial intelligence, personalized planning software, biomechanical simulation, sensor technologies and treatment monitoring into a more automated, precise and personalized workflow for orthotic design.

As the project approaches its final phase, each partner presented the progress achieved across their respective workstreams. During the meeting, we reviewed developments in AI-driven 3D reconstruction from radiographs, planning software for personalized brace design and clinical data visualization, biomechanical simulation models, the experimental testing platform used for validation and sensor technologies designed to measure pressure, corrective forces and treatment usage.

The day also included a visit to IDONIAL’s facilities and a live demonstration of the platform, providing an opportunity to share results, align the next development milestones and reinforce collaboration across the consortium.

It is exciting to see how these complementary technologies are beginning to converge into a single platform with the potential to advance the conservative treatment of idiopathic scoliosis.

Surgery does not begin with the first incision

It begins much earlier
🔹With understanding anatom.
🔹With anticipating complexity
🔹With planning different possibilities before entering the operating room

As spine surgery continues to evolve, preparation is becoming increasingly digital, connected and data-driven.

Advanced visualization, simulation and planning technologies are changing how surgical teams interact with information before a procedure takes place.

Because preparation is more than a step in the process. It is becoming an essential part of modern surgical workflows

⚕️ GEER 2026 brought together surgeons, industry leaders and technology innovators to explore what’s next in spine surgery

Over two days in Seville, one idea stood out across discussions, workshops and conversations: innovation only matters when it delivers value in clinical practice

From 3D planning and AI to digital twins, navigation, robotics and patient-specific solutions, the focus was on technologies that help surgeons prepare, anticipate complexity and make more informed decisions

👏 Thank you to everyone who visited us at the PRIM booth, shared insights and contributed to these conversations

A special thanks to Jesús Betegón Nicolás, Fran Arteaga, Francisco Ardura Aragon, Sebastián Cruz Morandé, MD, PhD, Daniel Alejandro Gómez González and David Joaquin Ortolà Morales for sharing their time and perspective with us

👉 Complex spine procedures often require not only detailed planning, but also the ability to translate that planning into precise intraoperative ex*****on.

During the 40th National Congress of the Spanish Spine Society, we will be sharing an interactive workshop experience focused on the practical application of personalized technologies for complex spine surgery. Using training biomodels, participants will be able to explore procedural workflows commonly involved in revision, deformity, cervical and degenerative cases within a controlled simulation environment.

We look forward to connecting with the spine community in Seville together with PRIM and continuing the conversation around personalized surgical planning and simulation-based training.

Visit us at the exhibition area and join the experience during the congress!

👉 In complex spine surgery, preparation goes beyond imaging and preoperative planning

It also involves understanding anatomy spatially, anticipating challenges, and rehearsing procedural workflows before entering the OR

Simulation-based environments using patient-specific models can help translate planning into a more tangible and practical experience, particularly in revision, deformity, cervical and other technically demanding cases

As interest in personalized surgical approaches continues to grow, hands-on training and procedural simulation are becoming increasingly valuable components of surgical education and preparation

🧠 Hands-on simulation

At the 19th Panhellenic Spine Congress in Kalamata, Greece, we joined forces with Medical Horizons to deliver three practical workshop sessions focused on complex spine surgery scenarios.

Spine surgeons from public and private hospitals across Greece had the opportunity to train using our latest-generation simulation models, practicing guided drilling, cannulated screw placement and trajectory visualization in revision, deformity and degenerative cases.

These workshops provided a controlled and reproducible environment designed to support surgical education, technical skill development and the adoption of advanced technologies in spine surgery.

A sincere thank you to the Hellenic Spine Society, all participating surgeons and Medical Horizons for making this valuable scientific exchange possible.
