We often talk about the future of eye care as if it’s years away. But for some patients with advanced retinal disease, that future is already here. Let me show you how.

Last month, researchers shared incredible 3-year data on a new therapy for conditions like retinitis pigmentosa. Instead of trying to fix a specific broken gene, this approach does something beautifully simple: it teaches the healthy cells right next to the damaged ones how to sense light again.
For patients who haven't seen clearly in years, this means real-world moments.

We created this short 3D visualization of the eye to help make these therapies easy to understand. Whether you are explaining a new treatment to a patient or aligning with healthcare stakeholders, seeing it clearly makes a real difference in daily clinical practice.

1 in 3 ER+ breast cancers will metastasize. Until recently, we were finding them basically blind. Here's what changed 👇

CERIANNA™ by GE HealthCare is a radiopharmaceutical designed to mimic estrogen and specifically bind to Estrogen Receptors (ER) on cancer cells.

When injected into a patient, CERIANNA travels through the entire body and "sticks" to any ER+ breast cancer cell it encounters. Whether it's the original tumour in the breast or hidden metastases in the bones, the liver, or other organs.

Then the scan happens. And those lesions light up.

The animation below is our work for GE Healthcare: translating the molecular journey of CERIANNA into a narrative that clinicians, researchers, and patients can understand and feel at first glance.

Technology like AR, VR, and 3D animation isn't just about creating "cool" visuals. It allows us to see the amazing science behind our everyday lives.

When it comes to complex airway mechanics, reading about it is one thing... seeing it is a completely different experience.

For decades, traditional cylindrical endotracheal cuffs have been the standard. But because the human trachea isn't a perfect cylinder, these cuffs often struggle to adapt, leading to uneven pressure distribution, mucosal damage, and the risk of micro-aspiration.

In our latest 3D medical animation, we visualize the biomechanics behind the innovative design of the V-cuff’s unique geometry, which provides a superior seal at lower pressures, protecting the tracheal tissue and helping to safeguard the lungs during intubation and ventilation.

For millions living with Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), this isn’t just a hypothetical question. It’s the goal.

We had the privilege of partnering with Mironid® Limited to bring their novel therapy to life through 3D visual storytelling.

Why does this matter? Because understanding how a treatment works is key to trusting it. We translated the complex science behind Mironid’s small-molecule therapeutics, specifically their approach to allosteric modulation of PDE4 enzymes, into a clear and accessible narrative.

This animation helps HCPs and patients visualize exactly how targeting the central signaling mechanism can slow cyst growth and potentially change the disease trajectory .

What would scare you most about having Alzheimer's?

For most people, it's not the diagnosis itself. It's the slow disappearance of who they are. The memories. The faces. The stories that made them human.

In pharma and healthcare communication, we often focus on the biology. Amyloid plaques. Tau tangles. Neurodegeneration pathways. All completely detached from the emotional reality of the disease.

At 3DforScience - Global Scientific Communications, we've learned that showing the science is only half the job. The other half is making people feel why it matters.

When we visualize Alzheimer's, we don't just show neurons dying. We show what those neurons held. A grandmother forgetting her grandchild's name. A musician losing the ability to play. A person slowly becoming a stranger to themselves.

This approach doesn't weaken the science. It strengthens it. Because when healthcare professionals connect emotionally with the patient experience, they understand the urgency differently. This mechanism of action in the video below becomes more than a diagram; it becomes hope.

We're seeing this shift across therapeutic areas. Oncology. Rare diseases. Neurology. The brands that win are the ones that remember there's a person behind every data point.

But whatever the style, one thing should never change: the science behind it.

Every anatomical layer. Every cellular component. Every interaction needs to be accurate to communicate with confidence.

Our colleague Enrique Rueda created this skin visualization for BYOMA, bringing together scientific precision and visual storytelling to help complex biology become easier to understand.

Today we want to share a recent project by Enrique Rueda, one of our 3D animators at 3DforScience - Global Scientific Communications.

He created this animation for JCR Pharmaceuticals to explain their JUST-AAV technology. The video shows how they use miniaturized antibodies on the surface of the virus to recognize specific receptors. This allows the treatment to target the right cells and avoid affecting unwanted tissues.

We are very happy with how this turned out!
