Jeanologia, the Science of Finishing, a research & development center that discovers creates & sells industrial solutions in garment finishing. Originally began as an R&D center for denim finishes, it’s been our mission to enhance industrial garment finishing through technology & know-how.

Today at 🎙️PROPOSITALK, a series of talks organized by the Càtedra de Cultura Empresarial, our People and Culture Director, Teresa Silla, took part alongside María Vázquez, Director of FAR • Fundación Amigos de Rimkieta, in a conversation about social impact and leadership.

For more than 20 years, JEANOLOGIA has been working with FAR • Fundación Amigos de Rimkieta to improve access to essential resources within the community.

🗣️ Teresa Silla highlighted that purpose at JEANOLOGIA is not about what we do, but about why we do it: “for us, volunteering is a way of experiencing first-hand the values we want to be known for as a company: generosity, commitment, service, responsibility, and teamwork. And there is no better way to put them into practice than by helping those who need it most.”

Today we were visited by the team from the FAR • Fundación Amigos de Rimkieta, and there could not be a better day for it.
On 🌏 World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, we want to recognize the work this foundation carries out in Burkina Faso, bringing access to water to communities that live every day with the effects of drought.

At JEANOLOGIA, years ago we had the opportunity to build several wells that continue to change lives today. But this story is not about infrastructure, it is about people. Because behind every well there is something far more valuable: health, education, opportunities, and future.

Thanks to Amigos de Rimkieta for reminding us that the most meaningful transformations are those that improve people’s lives.

EIM Report 2025 | 🧪 Chemical impact: the most urgent challenge for the denim industry.
⚠️ Only 28% of processes have a low chemical impact.
27% still show a high impact. It is the most critical area of the report, and also the one with the greatest hidden opportunities.

The causes: non-optimized chemicals, lack of transparency in formulations, and traditional practices such as pumice stone washing.
