🔋 𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐀 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚

This week, our colleagues Sara Dasilva and Paula Rodríguez represented at the SIERRA project General Assembly, hosted by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna.

The meeting brought together project partners to review ongoing activities, share progress across tasks and align on the next steps towards the development of a safe, sustainable, lightweight and high-performance battery pack for heavy-duty electric vehicles.

A highlight of the meeting was the visit to AIT’s Battery Lab, where partners had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into cutting-edge battery research and technologies. 🔋

Within the project, AIMEN plays a key role in the development of multimaterial recycled casings through advanced manufacturing technologies, contributing to structural validation, material characterisation, industrial scale-up and sensor integration to support safer and more sustainable battery systems.

AIMEN comparte su experiencia en fabricación avanzada y materiales para sectores estratégicos 🚀 🔬

Durante esta semana, hemos participado en dos encuentros internacionales vinculados a materiales avanzados, fabricación aditiva y aplicaciones de alto valor industrial.

Pablo Romero Rodríguez, PhD presentó en el trabajo de sobre el papel del calentamiento localizado por infrarrojo y láser en la fabricación aditiva de termoplásticos de alta temperatura, como PC y PEKK.

Además, Lourdes Blanco Salgado, participó en el workshop conjunto de los proyectos europeos ECOBALLIFE y ADMIRABLE EDF, celebrado en las instalaciones de Navantia Training Centre, en Cádiz, donde presentó la experiencia de en materiales avanzados para aplicaciones de defensa.

Dos espacios clave para seguir compartiendo conocimiento, reforzar la colaboración con agentes industriales y europeos, y avanzar en el desarrollo de soluciones tecnológicas aplicadas a sectores estratégicos.

🔄 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝟑·𝐌𝐘𝐃𝐀𝐒 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍

Today marks the final day of the R3-MYDAS consortium meeting hosted at , bringing together project partners at our Laser Applications Centre to review progress and align on the next steps towards the end of the project.

Over these two days, partners have shared a project status overview, discussed the progress achieved since the last meeting in November, advanced work across the different Work Packages, and explored the next steps for the exploitation of the project demonstrators. Participants also had the opportunity to visit AIMEN’s facilities and learn more about our technological capabilities.

Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, R3·MYDAS aims to foster more sustainable and circular value chains for energy assets through the integration of advanced mechatronics and digital technologies, supporting the remanufacturing, reuse and recycling of key industrial components.

At , we contribute to advancing innovative manufacturing and digitalisation technologies towards a more circular and sustainable industry.

La semana pasada, tres de nuestras compañeras se desplazaron a Vilagarcía de Arousa para formar parte de este congreso que busca fomentar la interacción entre grupos de en el ámbito energético y promover la colaboración con centros tecnológicos y empresas gallegas.

Esta semana se celebra en Santander, el Innovation Industry Construction Congress (IC2), organizado por | Plataforma Española Tecnológica de Construcción.

Este congreso se presenta como un importante encuentro para el sector de la construcción en y desde AIMEN participamos activamente en la activación de su y la búsqueda de oportunidades de i+d concretas para este campo. ✅

🧱 A lo largo de la semana hemos aprovechado esta oportunidad para conocer y compartir las últimas novedades relacionadas, descubrir nuevos materiales sostenibles y proyectos innovadores, y conectar con profesionales que trabajan para impulsar la construcción hacia el futuro. 🚀
