Check out a couple of hints of how innovation never stops at :

📌 At the beginning of July, our colleague Iago Gil presented a paper, 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘵𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘚𝘦𝘨𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘋𝘢𝘵𝘢, at the 18th Quantitative InfraRed Thermography Conference in Naples, Italy.

This work, developed within the initiatives and , explores the application of deep learning–based segmentation techniques to infrared thermographic data, enhancing the reliability of melt pool monitoring in advanced manufacturing processes. A great opportunity to share our latest research and discuss -driven approaches for process and quality assurance with the scientific community. 👀

📌 On the other hand, also in July, our colleague Marcos Fernández attended the Geopolymer Camp en Saint Quentin, France, where he presented there the advancements made within project with the paper: 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘋𝘞 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘎𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘺𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴.

is a initiative in which AIMEN has been involved in since it started in 2024, with the aim of minimizing Construction and Demolition waste ( ) as well as manufacturing waste, with a focus on mineral and timber-based material streams. ♻️

AIMEN participa en el recién lanzado proyecto 🙌

A finales de julio tuvo lugar la kick-off meeting de esta iniciativa, financiada en el marco del programa VInnovate Galicia, en la que nos reunimos con , Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna e , líder del proyecto.

🚀 RESHAPE tiene el objetivo de desarrollar y validar una nueva generación de componentes para de mediante tecnología WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing), que permitan:

✅Incrementar las prestaciones mecánicas y funcionales
✅Reducir plazos de fabricación y entrega
✅Disminuir costes asociados a la producción
✅Reducir la huella ambiental de los procesos industriales
✅Facilitar la y trazabilidad de la fabricación

🍇 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐀

Last week, our colleagues Julio Illade and Miguel Lago travelled to Portugal to take part in the validation and filming activities of the agriculture use case of the project, set in the vineyards of the Douro Valley.

Together with colleagues and partners including Manuel João Oliveira, Carolina Blanch, Anton García and Elisenda Lara Elias from , , , and , they worked in a real operational environment to advance RETINA's precision viticulture solutions.

RETINA is developing advanced photonic and multimodal sensing technologies for different applications, including precision viticulture. In this use case, these solutions are being tested in real vineyard conditions to monitor key parameters and support smarter agricultural practices. 🌱🔬

🎥 The activities carried out during these days will be featured in an upcoming RETINA use-case video, coming this autumn.
