Can a 3D model change the course of critical in just 24 hours?
Today, we’re highlighting a case that defines our mission at IT3D Group: our collaboration with Dr. Vicente Andrés Sala Almonacil at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia.

✅ The Challenge:

An 82-year-old patient in critical condition (cardiac arrest and anuria) presented with a severe Type IA endoleak and an aortocaval fistula. In cases of such extreme complexity, there is no room for improvisation. Precision is the only way forward.

✅ The IT3D Solution:

Leveraging our express additive manufacturing capabilities, we delivered a 3D-printed aortic anatomical model in PLA within 24 hours, using the IT3D HP300 Dual Mix printer.

✅ The Impact:

This model allowed the surgical team to:
• Perform a PMEG technique (physician-modified endovascular graft) on a Cook Tx2 endoprosthesis.
• Personalize the surgical approach using an exact replica of the patient’s anatomy.
• Ensure the total sealing of the leak and the patient’s stability.

✅ The Outcome:

A successful postoperative recovery with no leaks shown in follow-up scans and the stabilization of the patient's vital levels.

This case proves that Medical 3D Printing isn't the future—it’s the tool allowing surgeons today to win the battle against time and complexity.

PC-PTFE -- PA12 30% GF -- PA12 30% CF
Three examples of advanced materials validated with IT3D printers ✅
Are you exploring new frontiers in 3D printing with technical materials?

Industries demand solutions that combine technical precision, structural performance, and repeatability. For this reason, we continue to invest in 3D printing and we’ve added three more advanced materials to our extensive catalog of compounds validated with IT3D printers:

• PC-PTFE (Polycarbonate + PTFE)
Complex thermal behavior, but our high-precision extrusion and temperature control ensure excellent layer adhesion and zero degradation.

• PA12 30% GF (Nylon + 30% Glass Fiber)
High mechanical and thermal resistance. Fibers are perfectly aligned for stable and functional parts.

• PA12 30% CF (Nylon + 30% Carbon Fiber)
High stiffness and structural strength. Controlled deposition maintains fiber integrity and robust, uniform components.

Metallic Materials in 3D Printing | IT3D GROUP
Handling metallic has always been a focus of interest in industrial additive manufacturing. Today, we highlight the processing of stainless INOX 316, a material widely used for its high corrosion resistance and microstructural stability.

✅ Three key aspects of INOX 316 pellet printing using technology:

• Processing the material in its industrial state: The use of pellets avoids the thermal alterations associated with filament extrusion, preserving the composition and metallurgical behavior of INOX 316.

• Controlled sintering: The green part maintains a homogeneous material distribution, enabling the production of a fully stainless steel final piece with properties comparable to traditional manufacturing processes.

• Compatibility with industrial treatments: Sintered parts are suitable for machining, polishing, passivation, and heat treatments without compromising structural integrity.

With IT3D pellet extrusion printers, it is possible to manufacture high-performance parts and complex geometries in materials such as INOX 316 stainless steel, fully compatible with industrial post-processing treatments.
