CUMSA is a family company dedicated to the design, manufacturing and distribution of innovative standard solutions for the moldmaking and molding industries. Apart from our direct branches in Portugal, Italy, China and United States, we also have a complete distribution network in over 40 countries, this gives the chance for our products to arrive to every single moldmaker or molder around the wor

One of our main focuses is our R+D department, which is always in close contact with the customers allowing us firsthand access to new problems in the market and therefore giving us the opportunity to look for new solutions. This method of working has enabled the development of the complete catalogue of innovative solutions that are currently available. Our goal is to create innovative standard parts for the moldmakers, molders and end users, bringing them new solutions and advantages in terms of time reduction in manufacturing, assembly and adjustment, as well as minimizing the production downtime and eventual costs.

Today we celebrated the 90th anniversary of our founder and president — who turned 90 yesterday — with a special breakfast together with the entire company.
It was an inspiring moment to honor his legacy, vision, and the values that continue to guide us every day.

It was a touching reminder of where we come from and of the incredible journey that started with his dream.

It’s ensaïmada Friday at CUMSA! 🍪

As it’s the last Friday of the month, our R&D coordinator Joan has brought us a selection of ensaïmadas, a typical pastry with origins in the city of Mallorca. Normally, this delicious flaky treat can be eaten plain or filled. Today, Joan has chosen to bring 3 types: plain, cabell d’àngel (candied pumpkin) or with sobrassada (spicy pork spread with paprika).
We were curious to know which flavor would be the most popular, so we put out a sheet of paper 📝 to ask for people’s preferences – swipe to the last picture to see the results! This proved to be a great initiative- we even got a new flavor suggestion!

This is a great thing to do, it’s really in the little things where you can make a difference. At CUMSA HQ, we’re lucky to be able to look forward to this at the end of every month. Let’s see what ensaïmada flavors we get next month! Stay tuned to find out soon 😋
