Wow! What a week! ๐ซ๐ท Three days in Paris, one shared goal: moving circular construction forward.
๐ข From seeing construction material management in practice to putting project results, challenges and next steps on the table, the latest gathering in Paris gave us plenty to discuss - and plenty to take back home.
๐๏ธ We started in Gennevilliers, with a visit to the Eiffage Gรฉnie Civil platform, getting a closer look at industrial-scale practices for managing, processing and valorising construction materials.
๐ The next morning, we opened the doors beyond the consortium for our workshop โAdvancing Circular Construction Togetherโ at Cap Digital.
Together with projects, researchers, industry and other stakeholders, we connected CIRC-BOOST experiences with the wider circular construction landscape - from recycled concrete aggregates and digital tools to life cycle assessment.
And we didnโt stop at presentations. Through the World Cafรฉ, we tackled some of the questions that matter most when moving circular solutions beyond individual projects:
๐ฌ What is getting in the way of implementation?
โ๏ธ Which policy and regulatory conditions need to change?
๐ What will it take to bring promising solutions to the market and scale them up?
Then it was back to the CIRC-BOOST consortium for our 5th General Assembly, with two packed days of updates across the five pilots and project work packages, discussions on progress and upcoming work, and preparation for the next reporting period.
๐ Different sessions, different perspectives, but one clear thread throughout the three days: circular construction only moves forward when research, industry, policy and real-life implementation move together.
