At the Renault Group Factory in Palencia, innovation never stops. Thanks to the installation of the system from Eines Vision Systems, in has taken an unprecedented technological leap.

The challenge? Measure on moving vehicles while validating exterior specifications—without interrupting the production cycle or touching the car.

The solution? A tunnel equipped with:
• technology, capable of measuring hundreds of sections
• to verify logos, trim pieces, and other critical elements
• and to act before defects progress

The result? Early deviation detection, drastic reduction of rework, and continuous improvement of finish standards.

This project exemplifies how and computer vision can transform quality processes in the .

Are you concerned about the efficiency of your automotive plant? Identifying signs that your plant is not optimized can be crucial for improving productivity and profitability. Here are eight signs to consider:

1. Low production rates: If production falls short of your expectations, it could indicate issues in the supply chain or assembly line.

2. High maintenance costs: Elevated expenses on repairs or frequent replacements may indicate that equipment is not functioning properly.

3. Delivery delays: Planning or coordination problems could lead to delays in delivering finished products.

4. Poor product quality: Customer complaints about quality could signal manufacturing or quality control issues.

5. High levels of waste: Material and time wastage may indicate inefficiencies in processes.

6. High employee turnover: Indicates possible inefficiency in the plant due to unsafe working conditions, lack of training, or dissatisfaction with processes.

7. Lack of production flexibility: Difficulty in adapting to changes in demand or introducing new products quickly, which can lead to excess inventory and missed business opportunities.
8. Low capacity utilization: The plant is not maximizing its production capacity, possibly due to inefficient scheduling or maintenance issues.

Addressing these issues can enhance productivity, reduce costs, and boost your plant's competitiveness in the market. Implementing vision systems can further improve plant quality and efficiency. These systems identify defects, optimize production processes, and ensure product quality. Integrating vision technologies could be key to your automotive plant's success.

Are you ready to make your plant smart?
