After an intense week in Athens at Posidonia 2026, we would like to thank everyone we had the opportunity to meet during one of the most important events in the global maritime industry.

It has been a week full of meetings 🗣️, valuable discussions, new collaboration opportunities, and insightful conversations about the challenges and future of our industry. We have also had the chance to explore promising projects and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals from around the world🌍

A special recognition goes to our team on site: Adrián Sarasquete Fernández, Kateryna Samosvatova, our agent in Greece, Antonis Christodoulidis (Thoe Marine), and Piero Leali Rizzi (EMENASA), whose dedication and commitment were key to making the most of this productive week 💯

We leave Athens 🇬🇷 with great experiences, new connections, and exciting opportunities for the future.

Thank you to everyone who visited us and took the time to connect with our team.

See you at the next edition of Posidonia!

Did you know that a significant amount of energy is lost in the hub vortex behind a conventional propeller?

Boss Cap Fins (PBCF) are designed to interact with this vortex, partially straightening the rotational flow and recovering part of that lost energy. The result?

✔ Reduced propeller torque
✔ Improved propulsive efficiency
✔ Up to 1–2% power savings at given operating conditions

While the gains may seem modest, this simple and cost-effective passive device can translate into meaningful fuel savings and emission reductions over time.

At VICUSdt, we design and optimize propulsion solutions using advanced CFD analysis to ensure measurable, real-world performance improvements.

If you’re looking to improve your vessel’s efficiency, let’s talk.

How can CFD really improve fleet performance — beyond theory and promises?

In this session from the Shipbuilding & Ship Management (SBSM) event organized by Tech 4.0, our Managing Director, Adrián Sarasquete, walks through real applications of CFD for hull optimization, propulsion systems, Energy Saving Devices, and wind-assisted propulsion.

A practical talk focused on real engineering decisions, real data, and real results.

This year we built a very unique Christmas tree: it’s made from real propellers we designed throughout 2025! From a 6-meter, 5-blade giant at the base to a tiny 0.6-meter propeller as the star, every blade is shown at true scale.

We created a short 10-second simulation showing airflow moving through the “tree” while snow gently falls.

We wish you all a warm, joyful and inspiring holiday season.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
