Taking a P300-based BCI from the lab to the classroom
A team at the University of Granada Universidad de Granada used the P300 to identify a digit from 0 to 9 based on a volunteer's brain activity.
Using the Bitbrain Versatile EEG, a wearable system with water-based electrodes, the team brought the experiment out of the lab and into a science outreach session for almost 100 secondary school students.
This article examines how the P300 works and how EEG technology helped bring the experiment into the classroom.
Thank you to Joaquín T. Valderrama , Iván López, and Marta Rodríguez for their work on the project.
