Gasum suuntaa jälleen Power Truck Show -kuljetusmessuille Härmään! 🚛

Suomen suurimpiin kuljetusalan ammattimessuihin ja autonäyttelyihin kuuluva tapahtuma kerää vuosittain kävijöitä ympäri Suomen ja ulkomailta. Tänä vuonna paikalle odotetaan yli 30 000 vierasta.

Did you know that food waste can become fuel? ♻️🚛

Wasaline’s vessel sailing between Finland and Sweden will run solely on Gasum’s liquefied biogas going forward.🚢 The vessel Aurora Botnia transports passengers and freight daily across the Baltic Sea between the port of Vaasa in Finland and the port of Umeå in Sweden.

This move to using only fossil free fuel is made possible by Wasaline’s agreement to generate FuelEU Maritime compliance for one of Europe's leading ferry companies Stena Line. Stena Line operates 40 vessels and 20 routes in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean Sea.

Gasum’s bio-LNG is produced from waste streams like biowaste and sewage sludge, offering up to 90% lower lifecycle emissions compared to fossil fuels. ♻️🌱 It’s fully interchangeable with LNG and can be mixed at any ratio—making it a practical solution for today’s maritime needs.

⚓ Gasum also offers FuelEU Maritime pooling services, enabling vessel owners to meet regulatory compliance easily and cost-effectively.

Together, we’re steering toward a carbon-neutral future—on land and at sea. 🌍

Gasum avaa uusimman biokaasun tankkausasemansa Kajaanissa. ⛽ Asema on koko Kainuun ensimmäinen biokaasun jakeluasema.

Asemalta saa nesteytettyä ja paineistettua kaasua eli asemalla voi tankata sekä henkilöautoja, että raskaan liikenteen ajoneuvoja. Nesteytetyn biokaasun jakelu raskaalle liikenteelle on jo alkanut ja paineistettua kaasua saa arviolta 16.7.2025 lähtien.

Asema sijaitsee Kajaanin Takkarannan kaupunginosassa, valtatie 5:n välittömässä läheisyydessä osoitteessa Takkarannantie 6.

Gasum acquires full ownership of biogas plant and upgrading company in Helsingborg, Sweden 🌱

Gasum has signed and closed a share purchase agreement for 100% of the shares in NSR Biogas AB and the remaining 1/3 of the shares in Liquidgas Biofuels Genesis AB. Gasum has already been the majority owner of Liquidgas Biofuels Genesis AB since 2023 and is now acquiring full ownership.

NSR Biogas AB owns and operates a biogas production plant in Southern Sweden’s city of Helsingborg. Liquidgas Biofuels Genesis AB upgrades the produced biogas at the site and Gasum sells it on to the market.

The plant uses approximately 160 000 tons of household and industrial waste as well as manure and the maximum production capacity is 80 GWh of upgraded biogas per year. ♻️🌿

Gasum’s strategic goal is to bring 7 TWh of renewable gas to the Nordic market yearly by 2027. Achieving the ambitious goal would mean a total carbon dioxide reduction of 1.8 million tons per year for Gasum’s customers. 🌍

Gasum already holds majority ownership in the biogas upgrading company. The acquisition is part of Gasum’s strategic plan to invest in increased biogas production.

Gasum has officially inaugurated its newest and largest biogas plant in the Swedish town of Götene. 🌱 Construction of the plant started in 2023 and was finished on schedule early 2025.

Each year the plant takes in 400,000 tons of manure and other agricultural waste from neighboring farms and turns it into renewable energy as well as recycled fertilizers. The renewable fertilizers are then returned back to the farms in the area for reuse in agriculture. ♻️🌿

The plant produces 120 GWh of liquefied biogas a year, making it one of the largest liquefied biogas producing facilities in Sweden. The plant’s biogas helps Gasum’s customers in the transport and industry sectors reduce their carbon footprints by over 30,000 tons of CO2 in total. 🌍

The plant gathers manure from surrounding farms for energy production. In addition to biogas, the plant produces recycled fertilizers that circulate back to local food production.

Gasum has chartered a new LNG and bio-LNG bunker vessel that will serve Gasum’s customers starting 2027. The vessel will be owned by a Joint Venture between Gasum and Swedish shipping company Sirius Shipping. The vessel will be built by RMK Marine yard in Istanbul Turkey. 🚢

The investment is part of Gasum’s strategy to secure the availability of LNG and bio-LNG to its customers. 🌍
