”Oh, what a celebration we’ll have today - thank goodness!”
Today marks the premiere of the musical WICKED at the Tampereen Työväen Teatteri. This popular musical phenomenon has defied gravity and captivated audiences around the world. The story of ”Wicked” tells of an unexpected friendship and acceptance, encouraging everyone to believe in their own inner strength and uniqueness.
For director Samuel Harjanne, this marks already his second ”Wicked” production; his first direction of this title premiered at the Göteborg Opera in 2023, whereas the production now being staged in Tampere is entirely new.
Samuel Harjanne and his artistic team have created an enchanting visual world; combined with magical music and a touching story, they whisk the audience away on a unique adventure to the Land of Oz!
