Satu Hietala, Senior Quality Manager in Hämeenlinna, leads a dedicated inspection team within our Defence and Weapon Systems business area. As production scales up to meet growing international demand for mortar systems, Satu ensures that a robust quality framework is embedded into every stage of the process, from initial work instructions to the final assembly.

According to Satu, getting the basics right through thorough employee induction and standardising ways of working is the key to long-term success. With a diverse background spanning both mechanical engineering and business administration, she brings a well-rounded perspective that helps lay a strong foundation for Patria’s future growth.

Patria and the Czech Republic take steps forward to cooperate on a new 8x8 armoured vehicle programme. 🇨🇿 🇫🇮

Today Patria has signed Memoranda of Understanding with key state enterprises under the Czech Ministry of Defence: Vojenský technický ústav, VOP CZ and Vojenský výzkumný ústav.

This agreement paves the way for future technology transfer, domestic production, and advanced capability development, centred on the latest version of Patria’s combat-proven armoured modular vehicle platform, Patria AMV XP 8x8 CZ.

The Patria AMV XP 8x8 is the state-of-the-art modular and robust vehicle providing superior fire power, protection, and mobility ‒ the vehicle we at Patria have developed the longest during our decades of armoured vehicle expertise.

Ambition in action. Delivering at scale. Patria has published today its Annual Report 2025 👇

The year 2025 was marked with several highlights, including for example:

▪ A strategic milestone of €1 billion in net sales surpassed

▪ Order stock: €3.53 billion (↑ 48.4%) – all‑time high

▪ New orders: €2.19 billion (↑ 74.1%)

▪ Operating profit (EBIT): €115.9M (↑ 41.6%)

▪ Net sales outside Finland: 51%

▪ Nearly 2000 ordered CAVS Patria 6x6 vehicles, including options, by the end of the year, through the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme.

▪ Major contracts with Germany for Patria 6x6 vehicles and Patria NEMO mortar systems, valued at over €2 billion.

▪ New operating model launched in June 2025 with three business areas: Protected Mobility, Defence & Weapon Systems and Sustainment Solutions.

▪ Increased production capacity to meet rising defence demand.

Panu Routila has been appointed as the new President and CEO of Patria. After seven years of leading Patria, CEO Esa Rautalinko will conclude his term.

“Patria is a growth company at an exciting stage. I look forward to further strengthening our growth capabilities together with the entire management team across all three business areas. Patria sees the rapid change in technology as both a challenge and, in particular, an opportunity to develop its own business. We are at the forefront of technology and innovation in addition to a more traditional product offering. Patria has a strong, growing order book, and we are now ensuring its delivery capacity and growth. I strongly believe that Patria can, for its part, act as a driver of growth for all of Finland, in addition to the company having a significant international growth potential,” says President and CEO Panu Routila.

Routila served as the Chairman of Patria’s Board of Directors from 2020 to 2026.
