Ruostumattomasta teräksestä valmistettu pakosarja stroukattuun BMW M50-moottoriin.🔥 Pakosarja valmistettiin lähes vanhan pakosarjan mukaisesti, m***a putkikokoa suurennettiin kuutiotilavuuden kasvun takia. Tähän pakosarjaan käytettiin painevalettuja kollektoreita ja CNC-koneistettua toisioputkien kollektoria turbon laipan yhteydessä. Hukkaportin putkiin lisättiin yksi ylimääräinen liitoskohta, jotta samassa pakosarjassa voidaan käyttää Turbosmartin Straightgatea ja tarvittaessa myös normaalia Progatea.

Vastaavan ruostumattoman pakosarjan arvonlisäverollinen hinta vaihtelee noin 2000-2800€ välillä riippuen käytettävistä materiaaleista. Kysy tarkempaa hintaa!

A stainless steel exhaust manifold made for a stroked BMW M50 engine. 🔥
The manifold was built mostly based on the previous manifold but the pipe size was increased because of the larger engine displacement.
This manifold has cast collectors and a CNC-machined collector near the turbo fl**ge. Extra connection was added to the wastegate pipes so the same manifold can be used with Turbosmart Straightgate and also with Progate if needed.

The price of a similar stainless steel manifold, including VAT, is usually around €2000–€2800 depending on the materials used. Ask for more precise price!

AMG GT project from fabricator's perspective - part 2

Blacksmoke AMG GT projects are moving fast! Most of the fabrication work is now done. The engine bay is very tight but so far everything fits well. Large pipe diameters made the fabrication a bit challenging, but the result looks pretty nice.

1 All components in place in the engine bay.

2-3 Intake manifolds for both cars are welded. The flow characteristics were verified with 3D-model simulations.

4 The exhaust pipes between the turbos are made from 304 stainless steel with a 3.5" diameter. Turbosmart Straightgate with custom inconel internals is being used to bypass HP turbo. Wastegate for the LP turbo is Turbosmart Hypergate 45.

5-7 The intercooler is massive and theoretically rated for 7 bars of boost. According to Garrett's data it has cooling capacity up to 2500hp in gasoline engines. Compound diesel setup requires significantly more cooling.

8-11 Boost pipes welded and installed. Each car has 6 sets of Vibrant Pinless HD clamps. Fitting these diameters into the tight engine bay was little bit challenging. Air filter pipe is 5", boost pipes before the intercooler are 4", and 3.5" after the intercooler.

AMG GT project from fabricator's perspective - part 1

Third project together with Black Smoke.🔥

This time they are building two Mercedes-AMG GT drift cars. For these builds i'm fabricating the intake manifolds, intercoolers, exhaust systems, boost pipes and few other custom components.
I’ll be sharing pictures and short descriptions from my perspective as a fabricator. Here are the first ones:

1–2 Fitting a Garrett G47-1850 to OM648. Second turbo in compound system will be G40-900. Fitment in the engine bay will be ridiculously tight but we will make it.

3–4 Rear bumper bar
5 Front bumper bar

6–8 Building a custom water-to-air intercooler from two Garrett cores. After these cores there will be air-to-air intercooler built from three separate cores. Final dimensions in the intercooler will be approximately 940x550mm + water-to-air section.

9 Fabricator himself

Saan olla mukana jo kolmannessa Blacksmoken hienossa projektissa. Tällä kertaa he rakentavat kahta Mercedes-Benz AMG GT:tä. Valmistan näihin autoihin imusarjat, välijäähdyttimet, pako- ja ahtoputkistot sekä vähän muutakin. Julkaisen kuvia töiden välivaiheista omasta näkökulmastani pienten selostusten kera. Tässä ensimmäiset:

6-8 Garrett vesivälijäähdyttimen rakennusta kahdesta vesikennosta. Vesijäähdyttimen jälkeen tulee perinteinen ilma-ilma -kenno, joka itseasiassa rakennetaan käyttämällä kolmea eri kennoa. Välijäähdyttimen lopulliset mitat tulee olemaan noin 940x550mm + vesi-ilma -osuus.

E36:n ja E8x/E9x:n apurungot menossa hiekkapuhallukseen ennen muokkausta Winters-tasauspyörästöä varten.🧑🏼‍🏭 Molemmista apurungoista on tehty laadukas 3D-skannaus, jonka avulla laserleikatut levyleikkeet sopivat loistavasti apurunkojen alkuperäisiin muotoihin. Tee tilaus apurungon muokkauksesta hyvissä ajoin, koska varsinkin vanhempien korimallien apurunkoja ei välttämättä löydä sormia napsauttamalla.☝🏻 Muokkausten ja osien hinnat löydät alhaalta. Hintoihin lisätään arvonlisävero 25,5%. Jos et pysty lähettää omaa apurunkoa muokattavaksi, hintoihin lisätään apurungon hinta tapauskohtaisesti.

E36 and E8x/E9x subframes going to sandblasting before modification for a Winters differential.🧑🏼‍🏭 Both subframes have undergone high-quality 3D scanning, which ensures that the laser-cut plates fit perfectly into the original shapes of the subframes. Place your order for subframe modification well in advance, as subframes for older body models may not be found at the snap of a finger.☝🏻

- E36 parts for modification 220€ + vat
- E92 subframe modification 750€ + vat
- E92 parts for modification 180€ + vat

Taxes will be added to the prices. If you are unable to send your own subframe for modification, the price of a subframe will be added to the total cost on a case-by-case basis.

Ensimmäiset BMW E36:n apurungot Winters-vaihtovälitysperälle valmiina. Muokkauksen lisäksi näissä on siirretty alempien tukivarsien kiinnityspisteitä alaspäin jousitusgeometrian parantamiseksi.👌🏼 Apurunkojen muokkaukset onnistuu tällä hetkellä BMW:n E36 ja E92-korimalleihin.

The first BMW E36 subframes for the Winters quick-change differential are ready. In addition to modifications, the mounting points for the lower control arms have been relocated downward to improve suspension geometry. 👌🏼 Subframe modifications are currently available for BMW E36 and E92 models.

Tämä Eurooppaakin kiertänyt BMW E92 sai pienen päivityksen konehuoneeseen.💪🏼 Aiempien omistajien Jonathan Hastin ja Juha Pöytälaakson aikana ahdin oli alhaalla lohkon ja runkopalkin välissä. Tässä päivityksessä ahdin nostettiin ylös ja tein uuden 6-1 -tyyppisen pakosarjan. Isohko ahdin oli hieman tiukka sovitettava S50B32:n kylkeen, kun moottori on alkuperäisessä 30 asteen kallistuksessa. Lisäksi hitsasin ahtoputkistoa uusiksi ja tein downpipen, jotta omistajan on helppo tehdä putkisto loppuun. Toivotan auton uudelle omistajalle mukavia hetkiä lajiin tutustumisen parissa!🙏🏼

This BMW E92 which has also been driven around Europe, received a small upgrade under the hood.💪🏼
During the time it was owned by Jonathan Hast and Juha Pöytälaakso, the turbocharger was positioned low between the engine block and the frame beam. In this update, the turbo was relocated up and I fabricated a new 6-1 exhaust manifold. Fairly large turbo was a bit tight to fit next to the S50B32 engine, especially since the engine is still mounted to its original 30-degree tilt. I also reworked the charge piping and made a new downpipe, making it easier for the current owner to finish the rest of the exhaust system.

Tähän BMW E91-korimallin kilpuriin sain tehdä uuden pakosarjan, imusarjan, ahtoputket sekä pakoputkiston. Pakoputkisto valmistettiin kokonaan titaanista, pakosarja teräksestä ja imusarja+ahtoputket alumiinista. Fresh air -järjestelmä asennettiin ahtimen heräävyyden ja moottorin käytettävyyden parantamiseksi. Mielenkiintoinen kokonaisuus 3,25-litraiseksi stroukatun M50-moottorin ympärille!😎 Moottorin on rakentanut Juha Koskiniemi. Asiakkaalle suuret kiitokset luottamuksesta ja toivotan menestyksekästä kilpailukautta!

For this BMW E91 race car, I had the opportunity to build a new exhaust manifold, intake manifold, boost pipes, and full exhaust system. The exhaust system was made entirely from titanium, the exhaust manifold from steel, and the intake manifold along with the boost pipes from aluminum. A fresh air system was installed to improve turbo response and overall engine drivability. An interesting setup built around a 3.25-liter stroked M50 engine! The engine was built by Juha Koskiniemi.
