Haluatko kokea Ylläksen upeat maisemat ilmasta katsellen kuin lintu?
Nyt se on mahdollista, sillä kevään 2020 odotetuin uutuus on täällä!
Maaliskuun alusta lähtien on mahdollista hypätä tandemvarjoliitimen kyytiin suoraan Ylläksen huipulta. Lentoon lähdetään vastatuuleen kävelemällä tai juoksemalla. Tuuli muodostaa rinteeseen nousevan ilmavirtauksen, jonka avulla lennämme rauhallisesti maisemia ihaillen vain tuulen humistessa taustalla. Lento jatkuu kohti Ylläksen juurella sijaitsevaa laskeutumisaluetta. Tyynemmällä kelillä teemme yhteensä 2 lentoa, jotta lähdön adrenaliiniryöpyn jälkeen ennättää ihailla maisemia.
Mikäli haluat enemmän jännitystä, lennon aikana mahdollista tehdä keinumisia ja hallittuja syöksykierteitä. Lennolta on mahdollista saada myös valokuvia ja videoita, jotka saa mukaan muistikortille tallennettuna.
Kapteeninanne toimii kokenut varjoliidonopettaja Hermanni Keinänen, joka on harrastanut lajia vuodesta 2001 ja lennättänyt turisteja myös Himalajan vuoristossa.
Varjoliito mielletään usein extreme-lajiksi, mitä se vakuutusyhtiöiden mukaan onkin. Tapaturma-alttius on samaa luokkaa ratsastuksen kanssa. Tandemlennoilla kyytiläisellä (15-75v.) on If vakuutuksen ryhmätapaturmavakuutus (hoitoturva 5.000 € ja kuolemantapaus 20.000€) vakuutetun on kuuluttava Suomen asumisperusteisen sosiaaliturvan (Kela) piiriin. Järjestäjällä on myös toiminnan kattava vastuuvakuutus.
Lennolle päästäksesi:
• olet yli 12-vuotias (alle 18 vuotiailta vaaditaan huoltajan suostumus)
• olet vähintään 140 cm, jotta valjaat ovat viihtyisät ja turvalliset
• painat enintään 120 kg ja pystyt juoksemaan lentoon lähdössä noin 20 metrin matkan
• olet selvin päin
Tulethan lennolle lämpimästi pukeutuneena. Myös tukevat kengät ovat tarpeen, sillä lentoonlähtö tapahtuu hoitamattomien rinteiden ulkopuolelta ja lumen syvyys vaihtelee. Kypärä on lennolla pakollinen, ja saat sen muiden varusteiden ohessa tullessasi lentämään. Halutessasi voit käyttää omaa laskettelukypärääsi.
Tandemlento toteutetaan varjoliidon tutustumiskurssina. Lentoonlähdönvalmistelun yhteydessä saat tietää kaiken oleellisen lennosta ja varusteista. Asiakas on vakuutettu palveluntarjoajan puolesta.

Do you want to experience the beautiful landscape of Ylläs, like a bird from the sky?
Now it is possible, since the most expected new activity of spring 2020 is here! From the beginning of March, it will be possible to jump along and join in for a flight with a tandem paraglider from the top of Ylläs.
The flight starts by either walking or running towards the wind, depending on the strength of the wind. Wind will form a rising air flow against the slope, in which we will gently glide enjoying the scenery of Ylläs surroundings and the breeze of winter air. The flight continues towards a landing spot right next to Ylläs. In calm weather, we make a total of 2 flights to take in the scenery after an epic adrenaline rush
In case you seek for more adrenaline, it is possible to do swings or controlled spiral dives. It is also possible to get pictures and video from your flight saved to a memory card.
Your captain is experienced paragliding teacher Hermanni Keinänen, who has has been flying since 2001 and done tandem paragliding even at the Himalayans.
Paragliding is often perceived as an extreme sport, which is what insurance companies say. Accident susceptibility is in the same category as horse riding. Customer must have their own accident insurance if they deem it necessary. The Contractor shall not be liable for damage caused by force majeure, natural circumstances or any other unforeseeable cause. The Contractor has comprehensive liability insurance (does not cover accidents).
To get to fly:
• you are over 12 years old (if under 18 years old, guardians permit necessary)
• you are at least 140 cm tall, so that the harness is comfortable and safe.
• you weigh max. 120 kg and are capable to run approximately 20 meters.
• you are sober
Please come warmly dressed for the flight. Good and supporting shoes are necessary, as the launch happens from natural slope and the depth of snow varies. Helmet is mandatory, and will be provided in addition to the other gear as you arrive. You can also use your own ski-helmet if you wish.
Tandem-flight will be executed as a introduction course, and you will receive all the information needed regarding the techniques and gear before the flight. Customer is insured on behalf of the service provider.
