After the TOC Europe event in Hamburg, the Mevea team had the opportunity to visit Mevea’s customer maritimes competenzcentrum (ma-co) and its digital training center located at the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg. Ma-co has recently started using the Mevea Training Simulator for operator training. 💪

During the visit, we had insightful discussions about simulator-based operator training and were introduced to ma-co’s future research projects. In addition, we had a terminal tour at CTA and an introduction to their impressive new Liebherr double trolley STS cranes. 👏

In the center of the picture, seated in the Mevea training simulator, is the host of the visit, Mr. Gerrit Küther, Managing Director of maritimes competenzcentrum GmbH (ma-co).

Mevea had the honour of participating in the Siemens Cranes and Terminal Technology Conference (CTC) in Hamburg, on May 18, 2026. This was already the 19th time Siemens organized the event, and attendance continues to grow year by year — with more than 200 participants this year. 💪

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest developments in crane and terminal technology, while meeting industry experts and terminal operators from across the sector. 🤝

By combining Mevea’s advanced physics-based simulation technology with GPE’s global expertise in port equipment and services, the partnership supports safer, smarter, and more efficient terminal operations—while strengthening operator training and performance. 💪
