Meet Sumiyo Kondo, Accounting Specialist at NIT!

Sumiyo’s journey with NIT started in 2014 as a trainee with a dream to work in Finland. Now over 10 years later, she has been working as a Project Assistant in Nagasaki during AIDA projects, seen multiple vessels delivered in Turku as a Site Coordinator, and is currently working in the accounting team in Piikkiö.

What are the most important skills for these roles? “You need to be independent, take initiative, and have excellent problem-solving skills,” Sumiyo highlights, “and to have a bit of Finnish sisu!”

Sumiyo appreciates being able to utilize her personal skills and working in a team. "My ultimate dream of working in Finland has really come true. I feel very lucky to work in such a great environment with wonderful colleagues."
