Big news day!

Kitsat’s smaller companion is now ready and in full swing. Cansat NeXT is a new and modern version of the traditional Cansat. Available now, with or without a GPS unit, plus other accessories.

Check out cansat.fi for full documentation and user cases, but beware: this may be a slippery slope toward Kitsats!

Look at these cute antennas! Our first batch of mass-produced antennas is here – previously we made these entirely by hand. Measure tape is cut, corners are rounded and the hole is punched. Now all this is automated!

Kitsat has antennas made of simple measure tape because it is actually used in many satellites (like CubeCat-1 imaged here) & they’re cute and educational. For instance explaining wavelengths and antenna materials is very easy and visual.

After working the whole day (and evening) to improve space education and make it more interesting, we just realised it is the International Day of Education!

What is definitely the best possible ?
👉 Watch live the launch of EIRSAT-1 at 18:45 CET / 17:45 GMT.
This is the first Irish satellite and had been built by students in cooperation with education.

Kitsats are delivered nowadays more or less weekly, but sometimes one outcoming box stands out: this one goes to in South Korea for aerospace engineer training. Looking forward to further cooperation & hearing their experiences!
