Dust, dirt, tight spaces and some pretty unusual working positions. 😄

We don’t mind any of them. What matters is making sure every critical component is thoroughly inspected and our customers’ operations keep running reliably.

Annual overhauls are an important part of keeping equipment performing at its best, extending its lifetime and reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.

And sometimes, that means getting into places where not many people would volunteer to crawl. Like this. 😉

Our service team is carrying out annual overhauls throughout the remainder of 2026 and is already booking maintenance projects for 2027.

♻️ Another important milestone reached at Fortum's CHP plant in Częstochowa, Poland.

The roofs of two new biomass silos have been successfully installed as part of the plant's ongoing modernization project. Each silo has a storage capacity of approximately 8,000 m³ and forms part of the new biomass receiving, storage and fuel handling system.

BMH Technology is contributing to the project by delivering solutions that will help enable the plant's transition from coal to certified biomass.

Once commissioned, the new infrastructure will support the main boiler's operation on 100% certified biomass, representing a significant step in Fortum's long-term decarbonization journey.

We are proud to be part of projects that turn ambitious sustainability targets into practical industrial solutions.

Greetings from our workshop 🔧

This HELP discharger is ready to head out to an OEM customer's greenfield pulp mill project.

And for the record, the name has nothing to do with asking for help. It comes from a Finnish acronym: Hitaasti Edestakaisin Liikkuva Purkain, which means slowly reciprocating reclaimer.

A star-shaped rotor moves slowly back and forth above two screw conveyors, feeding wood chips forward to the process at a controlled rate.

In this video, you can see Vilho welding a rotor for our customer here at our workshop in Rauma.

Having our own workshop gives us the flexibility to react fast when our customers need us. Here’s a true story from a few years ago:

It was Saturday afternoon when our customer’s conveyor shaft broke, stopping their production. We called our machinist at home and explained the situation. His response?

“Okay, I’ll just turn off the sauna and come take care of it.” 😄

And that’s what happened. A new shaft was repaired and by Sunday evening, the customer’s production was up and running again.

Having the people, machinery and know-how under the same roof makes a real difference.

Now that’s a competitive advantage.

50 years... That's how long Virpi Mäkinen worked for the same company. And we're fortunate that company was ours.

Over five decades, colleagues, tools, and even company names changed. From the days of Lönnström to today's BMH Technology, Virpi witnessed changes in technology, ways of working, and the company itself.

What remained constant was Virpi's reliability, willingness to help, and the positive spirit she brought to work every day.

Thank you, Virpi, for 50 remarkable years and for being part of the BMH Technology's story.

Yet another TYRANNOSAURUS® 9900 has left the building. 🦖

This unit is heading to Sweden to a long-standing customer. What makes this delivery special is that this unit will replace an old BMH shredder that has been running in highly demanding operation for more than a decade.

When a machine has served its customer around the clock for over a decade and the customer chooses BMH again, we take that as a strong vote of confidence. 🙏

Did you know that BMH has manufactured and delivered more than 500 screw reclaimers worldwide since 1970? 🌍

This photo shows two reclaiming screws currently in production at BMH's workshop in Rauma, Finland.

The screw on the left is 17 metres long and will soon be delivered to a customer in Sweden as part of a TYRANNOSAURUS® screw reclaimer.

The one on the right is "only" about 11 metres long, which is actually much closer to the size typically seen in many installations.

Our workshop in Rauma specializes in heavy-duty bulk material handling solutions for biomass, bark, wood chips, pellets, sludge and SRF applications.
