Today was a somewhat different day. A call in the morning about a broken Carbon Fiber steering wheel on a Nordstream Race Swan 60. The pit-stop in Helsinki would only last for some hours, so we did an emergency carbon repair. 10:12 the wheel arrived at our workshop and at 16:15 was delivered to yacht, where crew was ready with tools to bolt repaired wheel on. Now the yacht is racing towards Germany!

We used Industrial grade ultra strong epoxy compound Syntho Poxy HC from Neptune Research Inc. to glue the wheel together and fill missing material before laminating carbon fiber (the wheel was in pieces, broken at four points). A coincidence that the race is sponsored by Gazprom and the same epoxy we used is also designed for High-Tech GAS pipeline rehabilitation :)

This week (and upcoming winter) we will concentrate a lot on the refinery & petrochemical industry, which we provide with some seriously innovative composite solutions for repair & rehabilitation of pipe & concrete.

Of course we will also have many interesting yacht and other "pure" composite projects to keep us busy!

This is what Composite Aspect made for a modern racer/cruiser... 600gsm primetex carbon twill looks good in the sunshine!
