Gas detector or gas analyzer? Not the same thing, even if they're often treated that way.
A detector does one job: it tells you when a gas is present. That's genuinely useful until the situation gets more complicated. When concentrations are low, the gases are unknown, or the source matters as much as the presence, a detector runs out of road pretty quickly.

That's where a multigas analyzer comes in. FTIR especially as it doesn't just flag a problem, it identifies what you're actually dealing with and at what level. That distinction shapes how you respond, what you report, and whether you're actually protected or just warned.

EN15267-4 QAL1 certification is not common in portable FTIR analyzers. GT6000 Mobilis is the only portable FTIR in the world to hold it and the measurement platform behind that certification is the same one the new GT7000 Tellus is built on.

This rack-mountable analyzer is for fixed measurement systems where validated, repeatable performance is a baseline requirement rather than a nice-to-have, that matters.

This week the 23rd World Congress of Soil Science brings together soil scientists from around the world to Nanjing, and Gasmet is there.
Our colleagues Eric Ye and Keith Leung are representing us at Booth D25 with the GT5000 Terra, our portable FTIR analyzer built for field-based gas measurements, including soil respiration and greenhouse gas flux studies. If you've been following the soil carbon conversation in research circles, you'll recognize why real-time multi-gas data in the field matters: fewer assumptions, more direct measurement.

Most gas analyzers get launched with a spec list. The GT7000 Tellus makes more sense when explained from the other direction: built for setups where the measurement runs continuously, because it has to.

Rack-mountable, continuous, fits into an existing workflow rather than demanding one built around it. The range is wide: process gas analysis, emissions monitoring, carbon capture, combustion research, but the common thread is that the conditions keep changing while the measurement has to stay dependable.

It runs on the same FTIR core as the GT5000 Terra and GT6000 Mobilis, which is worth knowing if a track record matters to you.
