Yesterday, South Pacific Waste Recyclers (SPWR) had the privilege of hosting Ms. Lynette from Investment Solomons, Ministry of Commerce, Solomon Islands. A special meeting of such proved to be highly productive, with constructive discussions focused on regional cooperation, sustainable manufacturing, and potential avenues for collaboration.

The South Pacific Waste Recyclers wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Ms. Shyla and her team at Investment Fiji for facilitating this valuable connection. Engagements like these reinforce the importance of regional partnerships in advancing shared economic and environmental goals across the Pacific.

This year, South Pacific Waste Recyclers celebrated World Environment Day by rolling our sleeves and stepping out into the local community along Bulei Road, Laucala Beach, for a meaningful cleanup campaign.

Our team spent the morning picking up litter from the roadside and surrounding public spaces. In addition to the cleanup, we also planted a few trees and shrubs along the area, adding a small but lasting touch of green to the environment. It was a practical way to give back to the community while reinforcing our ongoing commitment to protecting and preserving the environment.

Once the cleanup and planting were done, we returned to the office for a casual gathering to reflect on the day’s efforts. It was a good opportunity to share a few laughs, stories, and words of appreciation for the team’s hard work, not just on this day, but every day.

The experience reminded us that small steps, taken together, can make a real difference. We’re proud to continue playing our part in building a cleaner, greener future.
