Producing electricity while recovering heat: the power of cogeneration.

Cogeneration improves energy efficiency by generating electricity and useful heat from a single energy source. To support this application, Nidec Power developed the Leroy Somer LSAH alternators range with built-in water coolant circuit, minimizing overall dimensions and maximizing heat recovery.

International Day of Climate Action

Today, we share with you the results of one year of renewable energy production through our partnership with Alpiq and the Baronville wind farm.

From October 2025 to October 2026, the wind farm supplied 11,471 MWh of green electricity, covering 30% of the energy consumption of our participating sites.

This initiative helped avoid 275.3 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to more than 2.8 million km travelled by car, 39.3 million km by train, or 1.37 million km by plane.

A tangible step forward in our commitment to a more sustainable future.

Pink October: Keeping the Conversation Going!

As part of our ongoing Pink October activities, Nidec employees joined awareness sessions focused on prevention and early detection, led by Jeune & Rose.

These discussions provided valuable opportunities to learn, ask questions, and challenge common misconceptions. As one participant noted: "I didn't know that breast cancer could also affect men. These discussions are important for everyone."
